PC to Home Theater

My complaint about most of the higher end devices is that they try to do everything. They try to combine both the "front end" media presentation layer, with the "back end" ripping/tagging/storage.

I am perfectly happy with the backend, and share a RAID array amongst several PCs, laptops, etc. What I am lacking is a front-end to display this information in a really user friendly fashion, preferably on my television.
