Media Monkey for Videos

Post by EliteXen »

Anyone know of a program that does what MM does with videos. My movie collection is growing wildly outta control and I need some way to organize it....

Hey Hey, no one said anything about illegal downloads. Are you saying everyone that uses MM is a pirate cause they have a large music collection???
95% of the vids on my computer are fan-subbed anime and I have a few movies but they're mostly dvdrips. I don't watch many movies, but I love my anime. I got over a terabyte of storage in my main computer so I tend to kept the anime for a while before backing em up to DVD, but manually searching through folders is a pain. I forgot what I have and I forget which eps I like, etc.

So can anyone help with a good program to organize this collection ?

I enjoy Meedio a lot for playback, but it's been discontinued (Yahoo bought it and messed it up). But I haven't found much for editing. You might want to search the forum as this topic has passed by a few times (not sure if any good software got mentioned).

Thanks, I'll have to give Meedio a try.

I don't need to edit them at all just be nice to have 1 program where I find a list of all the movies, maybe with some nice cover art. It doesn't even have to play them since a lot of my anime comes as MKV's and I use VLC to play all my vids.

Although I haven't tried it, if you use the VID4WA plugin for MediaMonkey can't you add & play videos from MediaMonkey? The information wouldn't be saved in the file, but the database would keep track of it would it not? Or am I completely off base?
