Hi,

Here's a new beta with over 25 fixes and improvements including fixes to several recently introduced stability issues, along with the ability to export to iTunes.xml (for real this time) so that MMW playlists can be used with apps like Traktor. There are still about 10 remaining issues that we hope to fix before we post a release candidate. Let us know if you notice any showstoppers.

Note:
- this build supports MediaMonkey 2024 license keys. If you purchase MMW5 now (or any time since April 2024), you'll receive an MMW 2024 license key. If you've purchased MMW5 between January 2023 and March 2024, we'll be sending out free MMW 2024 upgrades closer to release. MMW 2024 licensing is described in greater detail here.

Hi,

Here's a new beta with another 10+ fixes and improvements including the ability to export to iTunes.xml so that MMW playlists can be used with apps like Traktor. There are about 10 remaining issues that we hope to fix before we post a release candidate. Let us know if you notice any showstoppers.

EDIT: ability to export to iTunes.xml is _not_ included in this build--it'll be in the next build. Apologies for the error.

Here's a new beta with another 10+ fixes and improvements including a revamped Russian translation thanks to Dmitri Yerokhin. The focus over the next couple of weeks will be to fix any remaining critical issues and get to an release candidate.

Hi,

The last build included a huge number of changes, but also introduced a few new stability issues. This build is focused on stability improvements and memory utilization, along with a few other fixes. Note that as with the last build, the changes in this build involve numerous under-the-hood changes, so there may yet be a few more undiscovered regressions.

Hi,

It's been awhile, but we've been hard at work on this new beta release. It's taken longer than expected since we've made numerous under-the-hood improvements including updating the underlying chromium framework. This build includes 125 fixes and improvements, among them fixes to image lookup, stability and performance improvements, and more!

Special thanks again to Zvezdan for numerous bug reports, and to all the volunteers (Jordi X, Martin W, Timo B, Enrico B, Stefan G, Panagiotis P, Massimo C, Sanmar, Sato K, SangOh L, Ming-Yuan L, Chyuan-Fu W, Chao X, Gervásio A, Marko M, Leandro B, Alberto M, Johan V, Igor C) who've updated MMW 2024 translations!

Hi,

We're happy to announce another beta release. There are some major changes in this beta (among the 70+ fixes and improvements ):
1) MMW is switching to year-based versioning. MediaMonkey 2024 has 600+ fixes and improvements compared to 5.0.x and deserves a major new release. Note: as in the past we'll be rolling out free upgrades to anyone who purchased MM 5.x within the past year (i.e. within 2023 or 2024-to date), and discounted upgrades to all other license holders (Lifetime license holders don't need to upgrade their licenses). This will be coming soon...
2) Strings are now frozen. We'll be contacting translators today with information about updating translations for MMW 2024. If you'd like to become involved with translating MediaMonkey, please check out the translation forum.
3) This build updates the base chromium version. This is important for security, but has the downside that MMW 2024 will only be compatible with Windows 10+.
4) Speed and pitch control have been added (for listening to audiobooks/podcasts).
5) Among the many fixes in this build are over 30 UI/scripting-related fixes--special thanks to Zvezdan for reporting these and helping improve MMW for scripters!
