Owyn, just one question: Does the latest version only update the lyrics if it finds new ones, which means that if the track has lyrics and Lyricator finds nothing, it will do nothing? Because that's a problem for me with having many wrong lyrics because of the errors on my main PC...can you make a version which inserts blank space if it finds no lyrics? Would be very appreciated... :)

It has always worked that way.
Will look into adding an option to remove lyrics when not found.

Would be very kind of you...I am not fond of deleting all my lyrics manually. Could take me several days... :P

//Okay, don't hurry with implementing just because of me...I managed to use the script Clear Field in the right way, and now all my songs don't have lyrics any more. I will update them all with Lyricator, and everything will be fine. At least I planned it this way :D

Hey there!

New in this board, but quite old MM user. Love this app! :)

First of all, congrats on Lyricator's author. I was looking for something like this since long ago.

However, it works only with the 1st file in the list. How could I fix that?

Thanks in advance.

P.S.: I'm still having the ActiveX issue (the alert message), even having followed the instructions from a Rok topic.

Cheers!

Hihi, this error will never give up, Owyn... ;)

@mspector: What localization do you use? I had the same problem on my PC, and we didn't find a solution until now. On my netbook, same version of Windows and MM, everything works. It's drivin Owyn crazy...:D

@mspector.
You need to exit and restart MM before the ActiveX warning is suppressed.
The first track problem is known but only occurs for some users. I have not been able to reproduce the problem. The next version of Lyricator will include some reworked code, but, no promises that it will actually fix the problem.

Firetribe, what exactly do you mean by "localization"? I'm using Windows 7 and MM 3.2.0.1294. My Win7 is english but MM is in Portuguese-BR.

Owyn,

I'm working at this ActiveX problem, it should be solved soon. 8)
About the track problem, is there any way I can help you find the issue? If yes, count on me.

Cheers! :D

@mspector: Yeah, that was exactly what I meant. This problem only ocurred on German Windows, as far as I know. But as it's working on my netbook this theory doesn't seem to be right...^^

Well, here's something I just found out...

I was working in my musics folders, and I noticed something interesting: when I use Lyricator in folders that ARE NOT in my library, the "1st song issue" occurs. But when I add the same folder in the library and THEN I use Lyricator, it works like a charm! Yay!

I did the test with exactly the same folder (it's a folder of MP3 that I sync with my mobile phone, apart from my usual library) and I came out with this. Adding the folder to the library makes Lyricator works nicely. Can't say if that's what happening with other users too, but anyways... perhaps the info can be useful. :wink:

@Firetribe: It seems your theory really doesn't match, since I run away from German (only thing I know in German is "gesundheit"... lol). Beautiful language, but I don't understand a thing (despite it's kinda similar to English sometimes).

Cheers!

That is interesting. All of my tests have been using library tracks.
I assume that you were working from the "My Computer" node.

Edit: Just did a quick test. Lyricator will NEVER work properly from "My Computer" node. Track Id is "-1" (ie. unknown) for any track accessed via that node, even, for tracks which are also in Library.

Confirmed, it's the same here. Working with tracks from the DB, if I copy the same tracks in a folder which is not in my DB only the first song gets updated. Just tried it...

@mspector: German is a quite difficult language. I'm very happy I don't had to learn it...:P And there are languages which are far more beautiful in my opinion...e.g. Spanish. And I like English very much ^^

Howdy!

@Owyn,
I usually do work from Library. But I have this special folder, where I copy the tracks that I sync with my mobile. And THIS folder in special (that is the one I was trying to apply Lyricator).

Here's a screenshot (I switched my MM to English for practical reasons):

Hope it helps.

@Firetribe:

If you think German is difficult, it's because you don't know Portuguese... (lol). It's kinda similar to Spanish (but this one is way easier), not that many grammar rules as in Portuguese).

Good to see that Lyricator worked to you too when adding files to Library. Mistery seems solved... perhaps. ;)

Cheers! :)
