Re: iTunes 9.0 Compatibility
Thank you so very very very much for the D_IPhone.dll fix...I was not going to be overly excited if I had to reinstall mm AGAIN.

Re: iTunes 9.0 Compatibility
Thanks everyone. MM kept crashing until I changed to wav output, but still crashed on closing. Have now removed latest version of quicktime (I do not have iTunes 9.0) and MM works perfectly again, although my music is in wma and flac files only.
Re: iTunes 9.0 Compatibility
Hi
Nubie to posting to board so I'll try and be brief.
Used MM 3 Gold v3.1.1.1261 for months now with no problems playing aac/m4a and encoding wma and flac files until upgraded to iTunes 9.
Had error message to upgrade Quicktime which I did but luck.
I recently bought the aac/m4a encoder to convert my flac files to m4a so I can play them on my sony walkman.
Now for some reason I can play my converted aac/m4a files in MM with no errors (even the original itunes files that would't play before!!)
Hope this helps

Re: iTunes 9.0 Compatibility
Agreed, removal of QT is a better solution right now than fighting it.

That is why I always install QTLite

Agreed, for reliability.Peke wrote:That is why I always install QTLite
However, as a tester I decided to install QT without iTunes (I don't use any Apple devices).

Re: iTunes 9.0 Compatibility
I have now installed MM version 3.1.2.1275 and removed Itunes and QT but am now getting the message again that I must have Itunes and quicktime installed to use the M4A plugin. Do I need to do this again. It didn't seem to be the case before this recent problem announced by this thread.
Also MM now seems to be analysing the volume of files already analysed and is therefore very slow to start. Is this related in anyway?
Regards to all and thanks

Re: iTunes 9.0 Compatibility
I just ran into this problem with a new laptop, but for future reference, File Hippo (http://filehippo.com) archives everything. Go there if you still need an older version of something.

Re: iTunes 9.0 Compatibility
i deleted the iphone.dll file, but am getting other error messages periodically.
it's not too fatal, but it's causing my MM to first hang up then restart everytime the error message pops up...
any help would be appreciated...

Re: iTunes 9.0 Compatibility
Imagine my frustration when I uninstalled MM because I was getting the dreaded iPhone error message. Then after a couple months, I tried installing MM again and it worked fine -- until I connected my Sony Ericsson phone to MM to sync sound files.
The dreaded message came back! BUT I could get rid of it by removing the drive the phone used from MM. Now everything is honky donkey again.
I also deleted all plug-ins referring to iTunes and iPhone from the plug ins file. I do also have iTunes 90 installed.

Re: iTunes 9.0 Compatibility
Hello everybody,
I am worried because i have read this thread and my problem seems to be similar but even more serious.
I have been a registered user of mediamonkey for months and it worked so well, i cannot do without MM now.
Two days ago i bought an ipod nano 5G and so i installed the gas factory coming with it (itunes 9).
Now MM crashes everytime. So i uninstalled every piece of apple software. MM kept crashing.
So i uninstalled MM as well and reinstalled it. It keeps crashing. I dont know what to do now.
As i can read mp3 and flacs in other softwares i think it's really an MM internal problem.
What i dont understand is that i uninstalled itunes and everything coming with it, so why does MM keep crashing.....
I forgot to say i am on vista home32 SP2.
The message i got when MM crashes is : "MediaMonkey - Audio Library a cessé de fonctionner" (i'm french and it means the "audio library crashed").
If someone has any ideo how i could get MM to work again, i would be deeply grateful.
Thx.
EDIT 10/31/09
I installed beta MediaMonkey 3.1.2.1282 RC-2, and it didn't fix the problem. MM starts normally and crashes as soon as i try to play a file. I get the same message about the audio library stopping (it's a windows message) and then an application error in windows stating "Exception EAccessViolation in module d_iphone.dll at 713CB11B. Access violation at address 713CC11B. Read of address 713CC11B".
Thanks for ANY help.
EDIT 2 11/02/09
My fault i didn't read this thread with enough attention. After several uninstall and re-install of MM, I just removed the i_phone.dll and mediamonkey just works fine again.
I guess i'm not gonna buy an iphone yet... ^^
