trixmoto wrote:@Paven - you mean you want a script which downloads album art in batch? This is not a good idea because the script would not know if it had found a sensible image or not. The script (if Auto:On) will automatically show when you play a track without artwork.
Trixmoto - do you mean that if a song has no album listed then there is no way to search based on artist and song title and then just select album art from the search results?

This would be helpful because I have a lot of tracks which do not have albums listed which I would like to use your script for.

No, I simply meant that although I find the Google results to be very reliable, sometimes you get a completely irrelevant image and there's no way for the script to know that it is irrelevant. Based on the music in my own collection, the percentage of successful results is extremely high from Google, so I think a batch script could be worthwhile.

The next version will use Artist if there is no AlbumArtist and Title if there is no Album. I thought I'd done this already, but that must have been for another script.

New version (2.2) is now available from my website (with a fixed installer).

The track artist and/or title is now used if there is no album information.

Trixmoto -

I downloaded and installed the new version. It is still not working if there is no song album listed and it is only searching for the first song listed in the library regardless of what song is selected. . .I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the script but it did not help.

Sorry, for some reason I've changed SelectedSongList to CurrentSongList which is why the selection is not working. I will fix this back to how it was in the next version.

Also the 2.2 installer seems to have the 2.1 script file in it. I'm not entirely sure how that happened, but version 2.3 will definitely be 2.3 - and missing album information should be replaced by track information!

It uses the selected track if you have some selected. It also uses track information if there is no album information.

first of all of course: amazing work with this and the cover art browsing!

the results google gives me are from the medium size category and they always get stretched to fit in my album art square. is it possible to get big pictures?

For others, the variable ImageSize at the top of the script can be:

small="icon"
medium="medium"
large="xxlarge"
all=""

New version (2.4) is now available from my website.

The OnTrackProperties events are now correctly triggered - which means if you use my "Browse By Art" script this will now work seemlessly!

Also, check out my new "Batch Art Finder" script: http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=10435

There is no trojan, I promise. The software which alerted you is simply telling you that the script contains potentially harmful activex commands. These are actually very innocent as all they do is connect (A) to Internet Explorer to download the image and (B) to MediaMonkey to add the artwork to your library.
