i can't remember how to or even if we can change the fonts
on the album views ?

so i am asking how do you get them changed.

they are black until the album is selected then
they turn white but so does the selection color for the album
so the fonts are un readable when the album is selected.

i have checked for any fonts in the theme mskn that would be
white but i don't see any.

so are these fonts in the ablum view controld by the desktop
theme also? or was it an oversite that you forgot to give us
the ablity to change those fonts?

or just how do you change them since i seem to have forgot how?

thanks.

Auto-auto-organize doesn't move/rename tracks

MM 3 Alpha 3 (3.0.0.1026) on XP Home.

Tools->Options->General->Auto-Organize, selected "automatically organize tracks in the background", added a mask with Genre: All, Directory: (root of my music directory tree), Mask: <Artist>\<Album>\<Track#:2>-<Title>

Added two tracks; one in the root of my music directory tree, and one in a manually-created artist\album subfolder.

MM3 added the tracks to its library, but didn't move the tracks or rename them as specified by the mask.

Have I not set up my mask correctly, or is this function not working?

Thanks in advance.

Bug: (Intentional change?) When changing a tag (I tried Album) I couldn't delete it from the file browser, only in the properties. Clearing it just reset it back to the original Album title.

Bug: Priority issues. Even when MM is hidden, hitting Ctrl+S in a program will bring up MM and ask if I want to sync my tags. That's BAD.

Maybe you've set the Hotkey as global!?

It is INDEED set as a hotkey but it is NOT global. The only 4 checked ones are the first four for Play, Stop and Next/Previous track. I even deleted the hotkey and tested. Maybe MM3A3 is ignoring the global setting?

Thanks, both will be fixed soon.

My God, Please, fix the back button.
Every single other media player has it. There's no use hiding behind "it works as users would expect" anymore. Everyone who has used my computer for playing music has commented on it. I have even been chided for purchasing a product that doesn't even do the most basic things.
Please!
Fix the back button!
Just have an option so that we can select what "style" we want, so users that like the current functionality can be happy as can everyone I've ever talked to about it.

the back button is fixed.

it works like normal.

1. you play music you press the play button

2. you want to shuffle/ randomize the songs while they are playing. so you turn on the shuffle button.

3. a few songs play and one starts you don't want to hear then so you press the forward or next button to skip that song.
in doing so you don't expect the next button to go to the next song since you have shuffle on, you expect it to pick one at random like you wanted the player to do.

4. when you want to go to the next one in the list you turn shuffle off. and click next.

what in thunder is wrong with turning the shuffle off to go back to the last previous played song.

simiple it wont go back to the last played song when you last played the song with the shuffle button on.

but it will go back one song on the list from the currently playing song.

i am not sure if they did that as a feature or if it was just a bug that was over looked. but the back button does work proper when not playing shuffle mode. :D

so tell those that mock you for buying the monkey to go fly a kite.

In my opinion, the Back Button shouldn't work in ^ that fashion, it truly should play the last song you played. Think of it this way:

You go to a website, we'll say "www.nunyabiznazz.com" and then click around on a couple links, say "News" & "Links", so your on the links page and see another website that interests you, you click, that link being "www.blahblahblah.com/news.html", you read through this page and realize it's something your not interested in, so you click back.

How do you want your back button to react in this situation, with MM's current process, it should take you to "www.blahblahblah.com" (an "Intro" page in this example) since it typically would be the page 'before' the one your currently on, or would you want it to take you to the actual page you was just on?

Pretty simple if you ask me. Then again, no one did ask me, so... *Shrugs*

I agree that the "Back Button" should operate in the most logical way, i.e. it goes back step by step in the reverse of how you got to where you are.
It either plays the last song you played, or if you click back again, the last previous to that etc regardless if the song was generated from shuffle or not and in the process close folders if required etc.

Other functions of the Backu Button could easily be added to a drop down list of other options, but alsways the default should be go back to previous played track.

i also agree with you but the button does work proper you just have to not use shuffle?

and as said in the other post
i am not sure if they did that as a feature or if it was just a bug that was over looked.

MM 3 Alpha 3 (3.0.0.1026) on XP Pro

I think this is a new problem because it use to work for me on previous Alpha versions of MM3.

Scenario: I have MM3 on my Laptop and Desktop. When I make changes to the library or MP3s I sync them both up, start MM3 on the "other" machine, select all tracks and locate missing tracks.

That worked fine for me but with this new version I can't locate the missing tracks at all. I've tried it a dozen times and still nothing. Is this me or MM3?

But, in this... other way of using a "Back" button (is it a back button if it has the present functionality? I don't know), you have to NOT use one of the features of the program in order to use another. In other media players these functions are not mutually exclusive. There's no real reason for it to be so in MediaMonkey, other programs have done this for YEARS.

If some other people enjoy this current functionality, why don't we have BOTH? We have more than one portable player plug-in, don't we?

No idea if anyone reported this before but i just installed the alpha 3 and after klicking a bit around the text vanished from my drop down menus!
Even from the menu from the icon in the tray! and the images on the toolbars.

After restarting it was all back there.

Another thing is the multimedia keys support for some reason don't show the volume up/down multimedia keys.

What is the difference between multimedia:play/pause and playback:play/pause ?

yes I seen that but I thought it was just in need of a reboot after install.
