Exactly the same with me, except that I tried to burn an audio cd with M.M. 3.02.1137 and that my CD was wrecked because the TOC and the first 20 seconds or so of the first track were written to it.nethog wrote: I'm trying to burn a data dvd and MM 3.0.2.1134 hangs up and locks the drive. Shows "writing" and track info in status bar but no progressive action.
1. If I right click and select terminate on the status bar, I get no feedback that it is terminating the process (which it apparently isn't).
2. If I close MM I get feedback that "background processes are running" and "do I want to terminate". I say yes and MM closes to the system tray (I do not have this option turned on). Upon inspection of processes running in Windows Task Manager, MM is still there and the drive is still flashing and locked.
3. I kill the process in Windows Task Manager and MM goes away but the dvd tray is still flashing and locked and I have to reboot the system to regain control.
4. No writing takes place to the dvd at all. I can still use the same disc with Nero to burn the disc after trying with MM.
I did several 'test&burn' runs to see if it makes a difference where my mp3-files are stored (internal HD or USB external HD) and which burner I use (internal or external USB), but they all failed.
Everytime the debug report says something like this a couple of times:
5801.983s - PID:1980 - hpCDEBurn:_Amount of read bytes and expected (read2) bytes are different.
5801.983s - PID:1980 - hpCDEBurn:_Buffer2, read 0 bytes, expected 75264 bytes, 32 blocks
5801.983s - PID:1980 - hpCDEBurn:_BlocksChunk = 0, Blocks = 1610, BurntBlocks = 8176
5801.983s - PID:1980 - Schrijven percentage:_6 %
After this I tried to burn without a test and all went well. The same with first a (separate) test burn and then the real thing.
So, if you want to burn an audio cd, don't choose 'test & burn' option, for it fails all the time. Must be a bug in MM 3.0.2
