1166 and 1170 both act the same for me. I was able to dock with both, but the position was never saved.

I can confirm this. MediaMonkey seems to save the position sometimes, though (at least I think because when I restart the new build, the position is saved). But when I restart the computer the settings are lost again.

The Now playing window will dock, but everytime media monkey starts it is free floating. this is in 1170

Still happening for me in 1173. Now Playing window docks fine but is always undocked when I restart.

Can you try to install debug version and make a debug log (send log to petr < att > mediamonkey < dott > com) ?

Something I've discovered that may be of help - if I unclick 'close to tray' in the options, closing and restarting leaves the window docked.
It only seems to drift free if I have 'close to tray' selected, and close MM using 'exit' in the tray icon.
Now Playing Dock/Undocked settings don't save

it still doesn't work for me even with the version 1173.Now playing window can't be docked... :|

sorry, Right Click inside Now Playing ->View -> Dock to Window it worked perfectly...
