1166: Now Playing List Pops up when opening MM3

Post by justlevine »

Whenever I open MM3, while the start up logo is showing, the Now playing list appears. It disappears once MM3 is done loading.
This did not happen in RC4

There also seems to be an issue with the docking of this window in 1166. I can view/hide the Now Playing box but cannot dock it to any area of MM. I did not notice this problem in the 1164 build.

Yes, same problem here. And yes, the Now Playing window cannot be docked.

Installation from scratch

I'd the same effect when I installed 1166 debug OVER an existing MM.
A de- and reinstall solved this problem.

seems to bee discussed here

I made a clean installation of the debug version, and still had the problem.

NOT TOTALLY FIXED HERE.

Installed 1170, opened MediaMonkey. Now Playing List is "free and floating". It WILL now dock, but when I close and open MediaMonkey, it is undocked again.

The "Dock to Window" flag does not seem to stick when MediaMonkey is exited, then started again.

Lame.
Yes, on MM sessions subsequent to the very first one (after the installation), the NP window is free as the wind and undockable again.
But apparently is not popping up on closing (and start) anymore.

It works for me in 1170 but then I didn't have a problem with it in 1166. I run the Now Playing window docked with the title bar hidden.

Mine still is undocked and i can't dock it in 1170. It is also still transparent compared with the main mediamonkey window and when i right click the title bar it only has the menu "close".

I think it should work fine if i uninstall and reinstall mediamonkey.

Also would you be able to put in a "reset position" button to reset all the windows to an original position just so that in the case of this, everything is docked and appears normally. You could just put the reset button while mediamonkey is still a beta just so that if anything goes wrong we can fix temporarily instead of waiting for another beta release.
