Example: If I have an album on there called "test" and this album has 10 tracks, each with album art in it's tag; when I select cover flow you will see the album art. When I select any one track from the album you will see the art, but... when I select any subsequent tracks from the album the art image is corrupt. So if my 1st view is track 5, I will see the proper album art. If my 2nd view is track 2, the album art will be corrupt, but, If I go back to menu and start over by selecting the album fresh, and then choose track 2 as my 1st choice it will be correct, and any subsequent choices will be corrupt, including the previous correctly viewed album art from my 1st viewing.

Hope this makes sense.

Also not only is is corrupt mostly, but I have found that the art is not always the right one.

I suppose we might have to wait till you get a device of your own to test. If I can be of further service, let me know.

Thanks,

James...
Hehehe this is not just a nano problem, many posts describe the same behaviour for iPod classics (after the initial complete sync)

I have an160 GB iPod classic and so far no problem. I have been using media monkey for a year or so on that device.

Perhaps I need to look further into it.

It should be delivered to me tomorrow and so I'll be able to post some update within about 2 days.

The album art got really messed up for me also (corrupted images showing lines and static). I had to back out the test DDL. Waiting for the next one!

Hopefully someone will also be able to figure out why for video podcasts the mp4s are correctly transferred to the device, yet only playback in audio and are not recognised by the Nano as video ("0 videos" in video menu). iTunes must be tagging them in a specific way to tell the Nano that it's video.

I have just uploaded updated iPod plug-in to http://www.mediamonkey.com/beta/d_iPod.dll , it works fine on my testing iPod Nano 4G now, please report any problems you possibly encounter.

Thanks,

You mention that you tested a 4GB nano.. according to apple the new nano chromatic only comes in 8GB and 16GB. The problem we are in reference to is the new chromatic. I have the nano just prior the nano 3rd gen. That one comes in 4gb, and does not have a problem with MM.

So I am curious if this will fix our issue with the nano chromatic.

iPod 4g means 4th generation, not 4 gigabytes.

I used this dll and it is much worse now....it doesn't update nor does it even see the songs on the iPod anymore. When I try to sync it gives me an error and sometimes restarts the iPod, at least with the old dll I could sync and whatnot just not see album art, this new one doesn't work at all now for me (4g iPod nano 16gb on Media Monkey 3)

Now that you said it restarts the ipod.. i didnt associate this with the DLL. My 8GB chromatic was rebooting when I used the first release of the patch. I also have a 16GB chromatic (4g) and will wait till there are better results.

That's strange, I haven't had such a problem at all, works flawlessly here. In order to get to the root of the problem, could you try to copy just one track or let's say one album from MM to your iPod? Even this doesn't work?

Fyi, I just successfully synced 500 tracks with album art and all was ok. Note, that if you used the previous dll, you should clear all tracks from the iPod at first, so that there doesn't remain anything incorrect.

I can't even copy one song over. The first time I try to copy one song it shows a little green progress bar at the bottom fill up to about a quarter of the way as if it's copying then it disappears and the track never copies. Every track I try to copy after that just doesn't do anything at all.
