Incomplete iPod Lyrics [BUG#5995]

I saw in Mantis that it is solved, great for you guys!

But I have a doubt, currently some of my tunes synced to my 5.5 ipod have correct lyrics, some not, ...

what will happen when I install the new version?

or in other words,

what do I need to do to ensure that all my lyrics are properly synced?

Your best bet is to clear the iPod and re sync using MM.

I value quite much my current database, with playcounts and "last played", etc. So I've never installed a beta.

If you give me some pointers of what files to backup, to ensure not losing my current library status in case something goes very wrong, I will gladly test it.

I'd rather you didn't risk anything if you aren't comfortable running a beta. I'm just trying to verify the issue in the bug tracker that it is fixed, but can't because I don't have an iPod that displays lyrics.

Problem still there with mm 3.1.2.1271. Restored my Ipod Classic, and filled it again with MM. Lyrics are truncated at 20 30 words

I was just wondering if anyone else was having this issue when syncing to an external drive? (Using plugin: d_USBMass1.dl)

Maybe the issue arises for me because I then use itunes to read the external drive and then sync it to my ipod. That way I can have a condensed mp3 version of my music synced with my pod and a flac version for my normal collection. I had to use itunes because my ipod is fickle and doesn't like it when I have over 50k songs in it while syncing with mediamonkey. It can only handle playlists up to about 30k songs.

Oh yea, I am using a 5g ipod but it is being synced with itunes. THe only thing that I am syncing with mediamonkey is the external drive using d_USBMass1.dll.

I just got done using lyricator on all my songs and would love to have it update my external drive and ultimately my ipod.

(BTW I am not to comfortable with the beta version because I am strapped for ram right now and the stable version of MM 3.1 is acting up on me since I moved to windows 7.) Still a great program though!

I have MM version 4.0.0.1436 and I've seen this problem. My ipod only shows about 20 words of the lyrics.

The problem doesn't fixed!!

1436 is on old build, 1453 is the most recent.

It works fine on my iPhone. Please verify your lyrics in MM are not also cut off. Clear your whole iPod, and resync.

I cheked them and they are all fine. It's very weird because sometimes they are complete sometimes they aren't.

Have had it to with every version of mm with my ipod's (video 5g and nano 6g).
Even if I cleaned out my ipod.

Thinks I did to get it working (don't know witch was really helping)
-Removed the ID3v1 tags
-Let cover and lyrics in tags
-Syncronize all my lables (have chosen only use ID3v2 tag in settings)
-Deleted all the lyrics in my music forders (search for *.txt in the appropriate folders and delete all)
-Deleted everything from my ipod
-Auto-sync everything back

I think deleting the txt files did it chose all the other think I already tried some time back.
Noticed that I couldn't see the lyrics with the files were they were present(could be wrong tho).
I also deleted unused tag fields....
