It was listed in the release notes for 2.4.2 RC-1 (see the Beta forum) that the FLAC tagging issue was fixed. FYI, 2.4.2 RC-2 was just released. so expect 2.4.2 out shortly if you don't want to use the release candidates.

My mistake, I missed that the 2.4.2 betas were available.
