Can't get MMA to sync ratings and counts with MMW

Unfortunately I've been having the same issue. I've tried with both the latest beta build and the 'regular' version of MMA, and am using the latest version of MMW with Windows 8. Did argumon end up sending through a log file to help get this actioned? Otherwise I'd be happy to find out the process and provide one myself.

Same issue here. I have a Motorola Razr Max HD with MMA Pro 1.05.0258 and MMW 4.1.1.1703. I haven't been able to get wireless sync going yet, but using USB the songs sync fine. I rate them on my phone but the ratings don't sync back to MMW. Could this be a file location issue? Seems like I've tried everything else. So close to perfect...

Same issue: USB sync from MMW to MMA. Music is stored on 64GB microSD card in Galaxy Note II. No play counts or ratings transferred. Currently deleted music, and performing a complete sync to the phone, but the ratings are not going over. I will send logs from the phone after the sync is complete. I will then attempt a wireless sync, later tonight, and do another log transfer.

PS: It worked fine, before. I'm not sure if the issue started with the A4.4 update or the latest MMA update, but I suspect that it was after the MMA update.
Update: I just transferred logs to dev(s) after a complete USB sync and after an aborted wireless sync. With all of my files just sync'd by USB, MMA wireless sync identifies over 700 out of 3,000+ files as needing to be updated. Also, it puts the downloaded files in the default folders on the phone instead of the paths defined on MMW.

And same here. Syncing was working fine during the beta, now I don't have any ratings on any of the songs and I can't get them to come up. Latest windows version, latest play store version. Nexus 4 4.4.3.

Are you saying no Ratings are shown in MMA for files synced with MMW (and they have Ratings in MMW)?

That's what I was saying, but turns out false alarm. I reinstalled latest MMA beta, did both a wired and wifi sync and they both work fine, with ratings.

This is an update to my earlier post: I removed and reinstalled MMW and MMA. I removed all media from my phone and performed a partial MMW to MMA USB sync with only one album selected for sync. I checked to ensure that no other device profile had any items selected, in case MMW had profile confusion. I'm getting all of my "music" collection sync'd, even through it's not selected in any way. As I add other collection's items, one album at a time, they sync properly, but "music" always syncs all items. I few of the items have ratings transferred to the device, but not all. I'm not sure why. Wireless sync insists on using the default folders on the phone, not what is in the profile, so it tries to copy everything to a second location. All of the sync functions worked fine, until just recently. BTW, I tried changing the sync location to the internal storage, but no-go. It syncs, but without ratings and play counts. So, it's not the A4.4 sd card issue. Also, it doesn't remove files that are deselected when you resync. I hope all of this info helps the devs and we can get a fix soon.

One last thing: I just did a complete sync. I restarted the sync without making any changes to anything. MMW wants to sync 710 items. So, I tried it again. At first, the option to sync the same phone ext. card is grayed-out, but after a few seconds, it allows the sync. Again, MMW wants to sync 710 items.

I have none of the problems you describe with MediaMonkey 4.1.3 and the latest beta of MMA (not on Android 4.4 though).

Although you can change settings in MMA you should do it in MMW as you have many more settings you can control. I only use wifi sync and files are synced according to settings in MMW, both which files and where to.

If you're having issues with wifi sync you'll need to send a log from MMA (from About screen) right after sync completes. I presume it's a Device Profile issue, but a log send from MMA will show the developers why things aren't working for you.

Thanks. I've been trying USB sync, because wifi to the ext card is no longer listed as an option. I assume it was removed, because of the A4.4 sd card permission issue. My internal storage doesn't handle enough for my audio files. I'll give it a try, and only sync the most important files. I sent the devs logs after USB and wireless syncs, but haven't heard anything back, yet.

Did you send them through a support ticket, that's generally the only way to get a response.

Time to eat crow. I removed the MMA app, again, including deleting all app data. After reinstalling, I did some test wireless syncs, and all is well including play counts and ratings. I can't explain what was going on, but I'm sure glad to have MM back in good working order.

I've got the same problem with a Note 3 running latest Android version unmodified and the latest versions of mma and mmw. Not only do the ratings not transfer back, they are erased in mma. Very frustrating because I am a radio DJ and depend on my portable device for auditioning and rating new music. Guess I'll have to dust off the lame ass iPod until this gets fixed.

Does this occur for tracks that are saved to internal memory, SD card, or both ? Also, can you confirm which version of MMA (is it 1.0.7--the latest release OR 1.1.0.338--the latest beta).

I have mma 1.0.7.0311. I store all the music on a 64 GB memory card. I haven't tried to store music on the internal memory.

I'm having the same issue:

MMW Gold 4.1.5.1719
Windows 7 Pro
MMA Beta 1.1.0.0346
HTC Desire 510 with Android 4.4

Everything works well when I sync to the internal storage of my phone. When I try to sync to the SD card though, ratings & play info don't make it to the SD card.

I also have an HTC One (M7) that doesn't have an SD card slot, and everything works fine even with the non-beta MMA. So it seems like it is an SD card issue.

EDIT:
I sent a log, however, I did not realize that MMA doesn't log if it is a USB sync, so you can ignore that. I haven't tried a wi-fi sync, because I am having the issue where my SD card is not showing up as a sync-able location in MMA settings/options. Supposedly will be fixed on Beta 347, so I'll wait for that.

Additional info: I have MMA Pro. Also, it doesn't appear to matter whether any transcoding is happening; transcoded and non-transcoded files are missing rating/playcount on the SD card.
