SOLVED : Removing "stuck" plugins in Options view

Post by Sebastian78 »

SOLVED:

IT WAS IN THE AUTOSCRIPT FOLDER!

I couldtent get this to work. nothing happened. Installed fine, set it up fine with the correct password, but it wouldent scrobble. I didnt have the .txt file either.

BUT when I try tp uninstall it, I cant get it out of the "Options - Library" view. I uninstalled it in the "Extensions" view, but its still there. It is gone from the "Extensions" list...... Can anyone help?

2. Last.fmDJ. Installs fine, I configure it as instructed in first post, but get a .vbs-error when it says "last.fm query". The error message is "no correspondanse between types: CInt. File ... lastfm_DJ.vbs, line 540, column 8"
Same error for me... With the latest MM 3 beta...
same error for me too :(

MM 3.0.2.1134
Win XP Pro

When I first installed the client beta it worked fine. But then I loaded up the Last.fm client (MM3 wasn't running during this) and streamed some tracks. When I next loaded MM and started playing tracks, now the website shows what track is playing, but doesn't append it to the recently played track list. The last track listed as "scrobbled" is the last one I played with the Last.fm client.

selecting of tracks...?

Post by natelabo »

Okay I have been using this plugin and have to say for the most part I love it. But I am getting horrendous repeats like not on the same plays but it always ends up getting into the same loops?!? Which seems quite odd... I understand the tracks come from the top tracks boards @ last.fm but it always picks the same top tracks.... With 12500 tracks I was hoping for a little more variety. These are the ones that always come up:

Collective Soul - Gel (I have their whole collection)
Third Eye Blind - 1000 Julys (I hate this song! Once again have all albums)
Better Then Ezra - Teenager (Never plays Good?!?)
Gin Blossoms - Virginia

These tracks are guaranteed to come up if I play some early 90's rock. Which is kinda of annoying... my settings:

Artist Simililarity - 50%
Artist Repeat - 60 Mins

Thats another thing my artist repeats more then once during 60mins??

... and the same error still, even after updating today. I also had trouble with the scrobbler earlier, but that seems to work ok now (?) My songs are registered on last.fm.

Scrobbling into the future

Post by circusriot »

When I use this plug-in my two most recently listened tracks are listed correctly on my profile page as "now listening" and "just listened", but tracks listened to prior to those are scrobbled around an hour into the future and listed as "in 50 minutes", "in 43 minutes", "in 39 minutes" etc.

Could this be because I'm in the southern hemisphere, and currently under daylight saving time while the northern hemisphere isn't? It will be interesting to see if this problem disappears once my time zone reverts to standard time on April 6.

I have had both the "in X minutes" problem and the "currently playing" (but then not actually scrobbling) problem. Obviously not at the first time. It stopped scrobbling properly a few days ago.

Peke, it sounds like a great plugin, but it's not yet working for me.
I read through all earlier responses and tried some things, but to no avail.

here's my setup:
- MM 3.0.3.1148
- last.fm player installed
- scrobbler script installed (I can see the files in the correct dirs)
- scrobbler script configured, linked to my last.fm account.
- but no log file is created in the mm directory, nothing is submitted to last.fm

could it be that the .vbs is working but the .dll not? how can I test it?

thanx, Gijs.

=========

Update: yes it started working today. Maybe it needs the lastfmhelper application which wasn't loaded before? If so it would help to make this clear in the "documentation"... Cool stuff !

Not working anymore

I think this must have worked with the non-beta release. I've since done a clean install of the most recent 3.0.3.1148, then only installed this Last.fm plugin. Below is my log file. Same log results with or without the 'only submit tracks with album metadata...' option.

Code: Select all

3/26/2008 6:44:47 PM: Last.FM Handshake Started
3/26/2008 6:44:47 PM: Last.FM Handshake: OK
3/26/2008 6:44:47 PM: Last.FM Cache Submission: Started
3/26/2008 6:44:48 PM: Last.FM Cache Submission: Failed Plugin bug: Not all request variables are set - got 26 parameters.
3/26/2008 6:44:48 PM: Last.fm Submit: Skipping Invalid File Tags
3/26/2008 6:44:48 PM: Last.FM NowPlaying: Update Started
3/26/2008 6:44:49 PM: Last.FM NowPlaying: OK
3/26/2008 6:44:50 PM: Last.FM Handshake Started
3/26/2008 6:44:51 PM: Last.FM Handshake: OK
3/26/2008 6:44:51 PM: Last.FM Cache Submission: Started
Nothing else seems to happen?

No, that's a bug I reported earlier in the thread. Once MM sends the cache, the plugin fails to restart.
