I could not get that to work. What steps did you take when the iPod was stuck in "Sync" mode? cancel, power off? reset? Send the new song while it was still hung up? I tried many of these options and still had a corrupt db with multiple instances of albums, missing songs, etc.

Thanks,

First time using MM. I have an Iphone 3gs with 32 gb and MM reports 13.5gb free. The phone has no music tracks at all on it. One observation was that I did have it about half full prior to syncing with MM. At that point all tunes were erased by MM. Could that be the problem?

Hi
I used the new .dll and synced 3 albums (one at a time) to my iPhone 3GS (latest FW). The Sync was
successful w/o any hangups. iPhone is able to recognize the files too, but there is no Album Art :(

Hi
What do you mean by redo the Album Art in MM? I hope you don't mean to clear all album art, and run Batch Art Finder
or similar. That is a loooooooot of work for a workaround :)

I have just uploaded a new version of the dll (to the same place). It particularly improves speed of synchronization and so the 'Synchronizing...' message shouldn't stay on iPhone for too long, as it did particularly for larger libraries in the previous version.

Legolas,

By "redo" I mean clear and redownload and assign clean art files.

In my experience there could be just one track on one album that can screw everything up.

Once the album art works, it always works....so redoing albums or tracks that I know work hasn't been necessary.

I've tracked specific issues down by loading in groups until the problem occurs....I have always found a culprit. Such as an album that has one song that for some reason doesn't have art. Everything works fine in MM and you really never notice the issue...but then once you try to load to an Apple device things get touchy.

Not a workaround...it just always has been this way. I've always assumed it is simply a compatibility issue that the Apple firmware is very strict about...

Everything is working OK here. I did have to redo the art on one album that I had never synced to an iphone or ipod before....no idea why, it seemed fine in MM for years. Cleared it and downloaded new art to tags and it synced fine.

Previously my album art was not embedded in Tags, but as iTunes had an issue w/ it did the "re-tagging" using
Album Art Tagger a few days ago. The steps I did are detailed in the below post:

Can you please let me know if you spot any issues w/ my AlbumArt Tagging flow?

I don't know anything about the addon script, sorry.

If it was me I would just start small and see if I could get a few working and move on from there. Possibly just let iTunes get the art.... If you want it automated.

I'm sure there are many people experienced with the script that might help with them.

Just posting to let you know that it is working ok here with iPhone 3g OS 3.0.1

Jiri,

THANK YOU!

Add me to the list, it syncs the music just fine but doesn't bring over album art.

Windows Vista, iPhone 3GS 3.0.1, MM 3.1. I tried both *.mp3 and *.m4a files with art in the folder and embedded.

Needs more work... :D

Environment:

Win XP Sp3
MM 3.1.0.1256
d_iPhone.dll Aug 12 - 10:24pm
iPhone 3GS FW 3.0.1
iTunes 8.2.1.6 (configured to NOT sync music)

Issues:
iPhone appears "nameless" in the Music Explorer Tree (i.e. instead of e.g. "John's iPhone" the caption is " "). ???

I created a sync profile for the device (a copy of my old iPhone sync profile) - it went through all the motions (copying 2800+ songs to the device). When all was done - going into the iPod app on the iPhone produces a brief "Updating music library" screen and NOTHING shows up (app seems to terminate). From then on - iPod app terminates on startup.

I then selected another album in MediaMonkey -right-clicked on it and selected "Send To " " (Synchronize)". Once again it went through all the motions, once again "Updating music library screen" shows up in the iPod app but now- low and behold - ALL of the music (2800+) shows up in the iPod app.

Problem is - not a single album art made it over. Not even one!

It's progress - that's for sure... But still needs work! Hope the above helps!

First of all, thanks for your support, I just can't wait to get rid of iTunes again!

I tried the new dll. I deleted all music, but I didn't think I should delete my movies as well. Syncing my music with the ipod touch went smooth, and all music and playlists are there. However, I ran into a few issues:
- The albumart is corrupt. Some parts of the art is replaced by other parts from other albums etc ... I remember finding some info on this forum before about that, but I can't find how to fix it again...
- My movies that I kept on the iPod touch are gone. But, when I open iTunes and select my ipod, it says I have about 8 Gb of "others" in there, which is about the size of my movies. I won't be able to delete those, unless I format my iPod entirely... Does anyone have a solution for that ?

Kind regards,
Mathew

Works fine but... after sync, if i run iTunes, then ringtones and Videos simply disappear! An iTunes repports a lot of wasted space (orange color-other) that every time increases.
