Re: MusicIP Tagger 1.7 - Updated 17/10/2010
Have just installed 1.7 and, like a number of earlier posts, I get 'unanalyzable' for every track on my albums despite the tracks being playable and certainly well known. I dug around and found Lowlander's post of last August regarding FLACs - it appears this remains a problem (or maybe a feature the script was never designed to provide). When I converted the FLAC files to MP3 (another very invaluable script) I had no problems in tagging the tracks. Just need to transfer the tags back to my archive records which are all in FLAC. Although a little off topic, if anyone has any ideas on the most efficient way to make such a transfer it would be much appreciated.
Thanks
Thanks

PS. Newly ripped FLAC files using EAC would work fine for me, existing FLAC files didn't work.

I am getting quite a few that say "Album not found" Does this mean I first need to add the album in mediamonkey, or does it mean that the musicip database can't assign an album to the song?
Either way how do I fix it as I want my songs saved C:\Music\Artist\Album\Artist - Song Title
Thanks,

It means that it's found the track, but can't find it on an album. Not much that can really be done about it, it's just not in the database.

So where is Media Monkey going to save it if there is no album? Just under the artist?
What if it was previously in a directory with an album then it will leave it in that album or move it to just the Artist folder?
Great script by the way, love it!
Re: MusicIP Tagger 1.7 - Updated 17/10/2010
Well this script won't change the album name in this case, so it'll just stay as the property currently is. I think if you auto organise when the album name is blank then it uses "Unknown".

Last question, I notice if I run this on the same track it will sometimes pickup a difference in the title or album that is only the capitalizing of one letter. Is there a setting somewhere in Media Monkey for me to fix this?
Re: MusicIP Tagger 1.7 - Updated 17/10/2010
Well not with this script, it just uses the data it finds. There is a script to fix cases though...

Re: MusicIP Tagger 1.7 - Updated 17/10/2010
I have mediamonkey set to auto organize. Is there an easy way to make sure that this script is run on all new songs on my computer BEFORE they are added to my library and auto moved and renamed. Otherwise I have to keep selecting all of them and even with remembering PUID's that can take some time.
Lastly, in a few circumstances this programs has detected a PUID for a song but it ends up being tagged wrong. The right artist but wrong song? I assume this is an error with the musicbrainz database and not this script?
Lastly, does this pull the album art as well? It doesn't appear to.

Re: MusicIP Tagger 1.7 - Updated 17/10/2010
No, this is an auto-tag source, it can't run automatically, certainly not before being added to the library. You could create an autoplaylist for tracks without a PUID, that's what I do. This script just uses the database, so yes, this probably means that multiple tracks have the same PUID, or the PUID has been incorrectly assigned.

Re: MusicIP Tagger 1.7 - Updated 17/10/2010
You shouldn't need to edit the .ini file if you've used the installer, but if you read through this thread you'll see several references to the fact that this is a "Auto-tag from web" source and you therefore need to run the "Auto-tag from web" tool and then select this script in the options.
