Batch Art Finder 4.2 - Updated 03/07/2012
Must be something wrong with the Windows Scripting Host then - it's not normal for a script to report a problem on column 0 (as it starts from 1) and as line 1 is a comment there can't be a problem with that either. Try downloading the installation file for XP from the windows website and reinstalling it.

MSINET error with BatchArtFinder on Vista
To register the msinet.ocx component that should reside in the Scripts\Auto folder
Start a Command Prompt in Administrator Mode (Start |All Programs | Accessories then right click on Command Prompt select Run As Administrator)
Enter the command
regsvr32 "C:\Program Files\MediaMonkey\Scripts\Auto\msinet.ocx"
Start a Command Prompt in Administrator Mode (Start |All Programs | Accessories then right click on Command Prompt select Run As Administrator)
Enter the command
regsvr32 "C:\Program Files\MediaMonkey\Scripts\Auto\msinet.ocx"
The script tries to run that command itself, but as the current user, not administrator.

No Buttons
Hi,
I tried the batch art finder script for the first time and I'm a little irritated that I don't get any buttons.
When I open the script window, it starts searching for artwork and at the bottom theres the dropdown list for the artwork source and text next to it ( 200 queued, ... ) , but no other buttons or progress bar.
I saw in the script source that there should have been the save button and a progress bar amongst other stuff.
What can I do about it?
I'm using XP SP2 and MM 2.5.5
Thanks,
Jo

I think this is something to do with your DPI. It's a known issue which I'm told will be fixed in MM3. I haven't managed to find a workaround yet, sorry.

Got a minor issue to note:
I have the option set to close window on save, then when I change the search engine it closes the window.
When I run via the toolbar it re-opens the window, however it when it runs from the 'auto-launch if no art', then it simply closes the window and does not re-open.

New script:
Last.FM Node Now with DJ Mode!
Last.fm + MediaMonkey = Scrobbler DJ!
Tag with MusicBrainz ~ Get Album Art!
Tweak the Monkey! ~ My Scripts Page

The window does close when changing search engine's - this is because the script needs to change mode and then run again. This is not dependant on the close on save option.
There's too many uses of the word "it" in your post, I can't figure out exactly what you're doing. Can you give me more details please?

I run in auto mode (pops up while playing if no art), if no suitable art is found, I wanted to use the search selecter to choose a different search engine, and then auto window closes and does not come back.
So, in manually triggered mode, changing the search closes and re-opens the window.
In auto mode, changing the search closes the window and does not re-open it.
