d_iPhone.dll supporting iPhone 3.0 firmware

Re: d_iPhone.dll supporting iPhone 3.0 firmware
I think the album art not showing seems to be a mixture of iphone 3gs and/or 3.0.1.
Can anyone confirm their album art is working on a 3gs with 3.0.1?

Re: d_iPhone.dll supporting iPhone 3.0 firmware
First THANK YOU!
With the newer dll from yesterday the my iPhone 3G with firmware 3.0.1 recognizes the tracks, before they where shown as 'other' in itunes (orange bar).
The album art is missing at all for me, but I can live with that because it was scrambled before too.

1. If you have problems with synchronizing tracks (i.e. they don't appear on iPhone/Touch at all), please generate and e-mail me a debug log of some short synchronization - as usually using DbgView.
2. If you have problems with Album Art (which should work, as it does for me), please e-mail me some content from your iPhone:
a. iTunes_Control\Artwork folder content.
b. iTunes_Control\iTunes\iTunesDB file
c. iTunes_Control\iTunes\iTunes Library.itlp folder content (subfolders not necessary).
You can use http://code.google.com/p/iphonebrowser/ to get this files from iPhone.
Don't forget to download and use the latest d_iPhone.dll, link is as usually at the start of this thread.

Re: d_iPhone.dll supporting iPhone 3.0 firmware
Before reading Jiri's post, I decided to simply restore my iPod to get rid of the "others" data.
- The iPod was completely empty after restore, which is fine!
- I copied the music again using autosync from Mediamonkey
- I have corrupt album art again:

I'll mail you the ipod Touch content as mentioned earlier...

Re: d_iPhone.dll supporting iPhone 3.0 firmware
mathieumaes,
in case you are able to consistently reproduce the corrupted album art problem with just some small set of tracks, I'd be also interested in the complete steps needed to reproduce the issue, possibly the used tracks and any other relevant details. Please mail me anything that could be useful...
Thanks,
Jiri

Hi Jiri,
I copied the content you requested (as per missing album art content) and zipped it. What e-mail address should I send it to? Do you want to PM it to me?
My original problem report/description is: http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewto ... 30#p217545
A quick observation is that the ArtworkDB file is way too small to actually contain anything (1316 bytes on a 2800+ song content most of which have album art).
Also - in the root of my C drive there's a file MMiPodExcept.log whose date matches the last time I synced. It contains a following bit (repeated about 7 or 8 times):
Don't forget the issue with blank/missing device name - which also seems to be a common thread with 3GS/3.0.1 devices out there...
Hope it helps! So excited about the prospect of shelving iTunes again (it was the only downside to upgrading to 3GS) - seems very close.
Marko

Re: d_iPhone.dll supporting iPhone 3.0 firmware
Jiri,
Yesterday's updated DLL resolved the issues I reported. Synced 2800 songs in about 40 minutes. No hang with "Sync in Progress". Album art all looks good for the 50-60 I reviewed.
THANK YOU!

Re: d_iPhone.dll supporting iPhone 3.0 firmware
The newest dll version works better with audio sync, but still removes ringtones and videos (and wasted space still increases at the amount of files lost).gvala wrote:Works fine but... after sync, if i run iTunes, then ringtones and Videos simply disappear! An iTunes repports a lot of wasted space (orange color-other) that every time increases.
iTunes 8.2.x
iPhone 3G with latest firmware
Are there any files I can send to help?
Note that I am running Vista x64 on my PC.
Thanks anyway for your effort.

Hope that the problem will be resolved soon

3g 16gb
3.0.1 (Jailbroken)
MM 1256
8/13 d_iphone.dll
I had previously loaded tracks with few problems and everything was working.
Playback fine
Art fine
-Loaded new dll this morning.
-Added one album that has previously been on iphone to playlist and synced.(this and the new dll was only change from successful sync event)
-MM shows all track data is on phone.
-iphone music player displays "No Content"
arrrrrrrggh
Was hoping I would sneak thru with no issues......
-removed all tracks from iphone(except m4r)
-tested by syncing new small playlist with last two albums added to original list
-small sync went fine, playback good on iphone, art fine,....no error messages or states were ever apparent.
-did not clear iphone, went back to original large playlist that also contains the two albums just synced with small playlist, synced large playlist
-upon resync of large playlist everything seems fine....sync time for the same playlist stuff seemed a bit shorter, still seems a bit long tho

Re: d_iPhone.dll supporting iPhone 3.0 firmware
I see people noting that ringtones are disappearing.
For each sync using MM I have made sure NOT to delete my ring tones with MM and they have remained and continue to work with no problems.
NOTE:
MM groups ringtone files (*.m4r) with everything else in the Nav tree. There is not somewhat seperate handling as in itunes. Mine for example, show up easily because they show up as "unknown" under artist or album nodes in the MM Nav file tree for the iphone. You have to make sure that YOU do not delete them using MM.
I had to originally load the ringtones into the phone with itunes. So note too that:
-you will need to load ringtones with itunes FIRST (M4r files are not recognizable by MM's scan so I can't add them to the MM library...hopefully this will be addressed shortly)
-the itunes sync to add ringtones will delete any music loaded by MM, so you will have to resync with MM.
Again, I've kept the same ringtones on my phone here for the last year thru two iphone software changes...so it does seem to work if you are careful.
(I use the original Motorola "Continental" ringtone...it's the only one I can consistenly hear, somewhat obnoxious...but effective...the preloaded ringtones on the iphone are just not "loud" and aurally unique enough to be heard easily in any environment...Tinkling glass and marimbas are cool, but impossible to hear if the phone is in my pocket...lol)
