Re: NEW! AutoRateAccurate 2.2 - Fresh'n'solid (02/08/2008)

I get the following error when using this script
Error #13 - Microsoft VBScript runtime error
Type mismatch: '[string: "(null)"]'
File: "C:\Program Files\MediaMonkey\scripts\auto\AutoRateAccStarter.vbs", Line: 1900, Column: 2
and if I click OK to it, I get
Error happened during script execution:
Type mismatch: '[string: "(null)"]'
I tried installing via the MMIP and manually but I get it both ways, I uninstalled MM and deleted all cache and reinstalled and still get the error, do you have any idea how I can fix this?

Berny,
Also, when I click OK to both of these errors and exit out Options, I get a popup saying "The sum of the percentages in AutoRateAccurate has to be 100%!
Please change your settings in the options!"
eventhough I have the default settings on ratings and they do equal 100%
Here are some pics to help me explain myself.

Re: NEW! AutoRateAccurate 2.2 - Fresh'n'solid (02/08/2008)
Hi guys,
I deleted all of my ratings (auto & manual ratings) so I could start fresh when I installed ARA 2.2
However, as others have reported, now MM freezes everytime I try to rate my entire library (~3500 songs). No error messages, just a freeze.
I was able to get all but 150 songs rated by doing only 200 at a time. However, now I can't even do 5-6 at a time without MM freezing again.
Anyone else had any luck getting past this?
Thanks,

It's difficult a bug without error message. I'll soon post a debug version which stores some informations in a file which then can be posted here.
When does it crash? AutoCalibration? Or AutoRating?

It gets through the auto-calibration stage in a second or two. It freezes during the autorating process, normally after rating a few songs. I have tried on multiple machines and gotten the same result. I'm happy to test any debug version or any other troubleshooting method you have... I know it's hard to troubleshoot a 'Freeze'.
Thanks!

Berny,
Oddly enough my error popups have seemed to disappear (hopefully for good). I can't really say what I did to fix it besides just listening to a couple of songs then restarting MM (somehow that that triggered the fix?) I will post back though if they start to reappear.

Re: NEW! AutoRateAccurate 2.2 - Fresh'n'solid (02/08/2008)
Ok, here we are!
I found a possible freeze-bug which was caused by the Incremental Playcounter. There was an infinite loop with songs which were shorter than 1 second. I disabled the part in the debug-version and added a messagebox which shows some informations sometimes. Would be great if you could post if you get these messages and if the AutoRating completes (you have to close the messageboxes first if they appear).
Download:
AutoRateAccurate 2.2.1 Debug
Thanks for your help!
Big_Berny
PS: This only solves the possible freeze!
@Deadman36g: Your problem seems a bit strange to me... Do other scripts work? Have you restarted MM after installing AutoRateAccurate? Have you tried to disable your antivirus-tool for a moment? Something seems to block the script...

Just trying the Debug version to see if it'll stop freezing on autorating.
About 80% of the way through the rating I got a information pop up saying "-1 -0"
Apart from that it's run through successfully.

Re: AutoRateAccurate 2.2 (02/08/2008) - Debug version available
Why does AutoRateAccurate update my tags even though I've unchecked "Rewrite tags" box? The timestamps of the files doesn't change but sfv/md5-checksums of the mp3-files fails. Is it possible to make the changes only to the database? I also get loads of errors when navigating the options.

Re: AutoRateAccurate 2.2 (02/08/2008) - Debug version available
Thanks jonny! So I think I got the problem. Hope to fix it tomorrow.
@mohikaani: Well, the MP3 probably still changes because MM by default changes the tag when there's a change in the database. You can change that in the MM-options under "Library/Tags&Playlists/Update tags when editing properties". Can you check if that solves the problem, please?
About the errors in the options I have no idea... I'll have a look. Maybe it also has to do with 64-Bit (as you seem to use that)...

Re: AutoRateAccurate 2.2 (02/08/2008) - Debug version available
Hi Berny,
I'm using 2.2 (not debug) and I noticed that ARA isn't retaining my Manual Ratings selection. It sets it to Keep if song can't be autorated although I keep setting it to Never keep manual ratings. The next time I start MM, it's back to the incorrect setting. I just tested this with a clean restart (no hangs).
