And is each one programmed to look out for and uninstall the other, because with different names they certainly can't install over the top of each other?
Re: [4.0.3.1465/6] Sorting/grouping bug(s)
No, you install on top of each other, that is how it works.

Well if it doesn't uninstall the other version, won't you end up with both MediaMonkey.exe and MediaMonkey_Debug.exe in the MM directory?
Re: [4.0.3.1465/6] Sorting/grouping bug(s)
Names of all files of regular and debug are same. Difference is only inside the files.

Debug installs as MediaMonkey.exe.

Re: [4.0.3.1465/6] Sorting/grouping bug(s)
Ah, that explains that.
It's just that a former MM3 debug version I installed was called MediaMonkey_Debug.exe. Crisis averted!
UPDATE: Just received update of release of 1491 test build. Noticed that build number included in file name. Is this an executable ZIP (or other archive) file that will still install as MediaMonkey.exe or does this bring me back to my previous point?

What you are downloading is an installer. It can be named anything, the files that are installed will always be named the same. Doesn't matter if you download the file and rename it to "49857249857.exe", the filenames after the installation will not change.daztrue wrote:
