The cache version is a thumbnail and not the full image, I believe.

Good point, although the thumbnail might actually be the same size as normal album art. Looks like they're around 150x150 or a little smaller. I guess one solution, although it would be complicated, would be to try to fetch the underlying image, and then if the fetcher gets an access denied error, save the Google Cache thumbnail instead.

Yes, this is certainly something I'll look into when trying to sort this issue out.

Just was instructed about this program from a friend, ran home and bought it.. So far can see the potential, but haven't learned it yet...
Found your scripts page and downloaded the "Batch Art Finder" When It runs it sends a message "There are no albums with missing artwork, do you want to process albums with missing artwork?"
Well, most of my albums are missing the artwork, so the statement is false; how do I change the program so it see's the artwork is missing?

Well. I tried on a PC running WinXP SP3 and IE6(i think). Latest MM and latest script. Same error.

I am saving to a USB harddrive, I'm not sure if the extra time it takes to save to a USB drive would make a difference?

@Sackett - this means that MM thinks your albums have artwork, which might mean you've got hidden "folder.jpg" files that have been created by WMP or another media player. Either way, if you are not happy with your current artwork just click "Yes" when you see that message and the script will process all of your albums.

@ydgmms(guest) - the problem is with the component I am using so I do not think saving to a USB drive will be making any difference.

Is there any ETA on a fixed update? I'm struggling to get my 17000+ tagged easily. .. gone thru itunes...various things thru itunes... MM+BAF is just the easiest quickest way.

@Sackett - my apologies, this is already on my list as a known issue but I'd forgotten until I tried to add it! I will hopefully get this resolved in the next version.

@ydgmms(guest) - I do not provide expected dates for three reasons...
1) I only script in my spare time so I never know week to week how much I'm going to have.
2) There's not necessarily an order in which I update scripts (although donations have been known to make some higher priorities - this is NOT a sales pitch) I just do whichever I fancy working on next.
3) I've done this before and when I've "missed the deadline" some people have become very demanding. I'm not suggesting you would but it's just safer for me to not commit to anything.

Its all good. I figured out a round-a-bout way to get it done somewhat easy.

Album Art Downloader + Album Art Tagger (thanks!)

AAD, grabs art work from various sites (amazon and google +others). Saves it as folder.jpg in the album folder.

your AAT script then embedds the folder.jpg into the id3 tag. I just have to do it small chunks at a time.

It would be great if, when fixed, this looked at the Amazon MP3 area - best place to find 500x500 artwork.

I understand. your add-on were the primary reason I bough Media Monkey; was doing OK with SharePod, except having album art problems getting it to load. Met a guy in a class that told me of media monkey and a add-on that lets him update his art easy; so a bit of a letdown yhat after spending 40 dollars I still have the same issue.
Let us k now when the next update is done, I'll load the two programs on my wife's laptop and see it it works properly next time I have it accessed to high speed. We don't have high speed at home so getting "big" updates and programs wait until we are at a hotel or something.
