I've have probplem with the BAF when i'm saving the albumart. Get's the message "msinet is not found, please install".
Im running Vista and i've read the discussion about this.
Tried all the suggestions, but still got the message.
Anyone who have the answer?

Had the same thingdypsis wrote:It used to be a great script, but now it doesn't do much for me.
This is what happens:
Confirm - Always no albums with missing artwork. Do you want to process albums with artwork?
and then
Information - No albums with missing artwork.
only happens when you browse trough directorys and try to add art to albums not in the libary itself
add the albums to the libary and try it again it works
Re: Batch Art Finder 2.8 [MM2+3]
Great script but I am having a problem with my player actually displaying album art; not M.M. When I add a cover art manually my player and M.M. have no problem picking it up. When I run this script, find a cover and sync my pmp (archos 5) to M.M. the player it doesn't pick it up. Note: whether manually or with this script M.M. does have the tracks embedded with the album art file.
What can be the problem?

Re: Batch Art Finder 2.8 [MM2+3]
Does anyone know if this Batch Album Art script will find cover art and then replace it into your actual directory? For example, I have 3 hard drives. C, E, F. All of my music is saved on my E hard drive. I added all my music into my MM library. Now, by running the script, does it add the artwork back into my E drive directory for each individual folder? Thanks in advance.
By the way, this is the first time I have ran the script. I ran it for all of my music (289 gigs to be exact) and it seems to be EXTREMELY SLOW. It has apparently locked up. Is there another way to do this?

Re: Batch Art Finder 2.8 [MM2+3]
@Sackett - I can only say that it is on my list and will hopefully be working soon.
@sommo - Have you tried running MM "as administrator"? Commenting out the line certainly won't make the script work!
@moveisbx - This is a strange problem as the script uses the scripting methods to add the artwork so it should be the same as adding the artwork manually. What file extensions are you music files?
@Swing - Yes it can do this is you select the linked artwork option in the settings. I will be slow for this sort of size, there is also an option to reduce the batch size to handle a smaller number of albums at a time. This is mostly because IE can't handle a DOM of that size without slowing down.

Re: Batch Art Finder 2.8 [MM2+3]
I am using mp3's. By the way, I am wondering if the reason why the player is not picking up the album art of these tracks (after having synced my entire library prior) because I have chosen the "save in tag" option under the Storage Type. Since the files are already in my player, doing a re-sync may not be enough for the player to realize that some of the tracks that didn't have cover art before have now. Under Storage Type in BatchArtFinder Settings which option allows for the cover art to also be downloaded to the folder, as a separate file, where the tracks resides? Maybe this way the player will pick up tracks which I have added cover art to after my initial sync of my entire library.trixmoto wrote:

Re: Batch Art Finder 2.8 [MM2+3]
This a great script! One problem, however, when I click "Save" it prompts me for the installation of "SmartSound Quicktracks Plugin" ... does anyone know why?
Re: Batch Art Finder 2.8 [MM2+3]
Update: I found some post after a google search saying to remove it and now I no longer get the prompt or any errors running the script on Vista ... everything looks good so far!duckwilliamson wrote:This a great script! Re: Batch Art Finder 2.8 [MM2+3]
Ah I just noticed that if it finds art on google images (I assume using the cached thumb) it will attempt to download the original and if there's an error it just makes an empty jpg rather than searching for another or just not downloading anything. Does the art finder not just use the image you see in the preview window?
Here's an example for you: http://images.google.ca/images?hl=en&sa ... a=N&tab=wi
The first image is appropriate but when you actually click on it and view full image it gives a 404 error. When the batch downloader comes upon this it just makes the 404 error into a jpg.
I saw a post on page 44ish where someone mentioned their fixes and a 403 error ... did you fix this already trix or is there something I can do? This is the last thing I need to work before I attempt to completely album-art my library (I don't want to get a bunch of dummy tagged album art fields).
Thanks again for a great script!

Re: Batch Art Finder 2.8 [MM2+3]
I love the script too.
Lately, however, I am finding it often crashing with an error (Error #35764 - Inet Still executing last request line 1545, Column 14) and I have to restart MM in order to get it back operational. It is happening about once every 5-10 minutes. It happens with 1 song or 12 songs. It seems to be related to the artwork itself, but I have yet to find a "pattern" in the error. Sometimes the artwork is small, sometimes big. I can't predict it. I am replacing all the Album art for my files and I have been at it 3 days now (~300 files to go now).
I am using 3.0.4.1185. While I am almost done, I just figured I would pass this on for others who will use the script in the future.

Re: Batch Art Finder 2.8 [MM2+3]
That's my problem too. The problem of inet giving the error while saving the art has been discussed earlier in this thread and trix says he's on it but cannot give an eta due to people getting perturbed if he's late.Rigwald wrote:I love the script too.

For me, it worked at first, but now it just gives that inet error too often to even bother updating.
I'll be waiting on the fix before I attempt to artify my collection - AlbumArtDownloaderXUI doesn't automatically select and download the image like trix's script does so I'll just have to wait I guess

Here's to trix having some free time in his schedule to get rid of the inet error

Yes both of these issues are on my list and will get fixed (hopefully) in the near future. If someone would like to campaign for a 25th hour in the day that would be really useful!!

Re: Batch Art Finder 2.8 [MM2+3]
If it helps, ive found that iArt and TuneFix (tho they both cost =( ), nearly does the same job, expect for it needs iTunes
Personnal, until the script updated, im doing it by hand
btw I second the 25th hour of the day!
