could you please post a screenshot of what you're talking about? The player seems to be able to compress to some extent.

spacefish is right. But aidan has had some issues with it. I'm waiting for the screen shot to see exactly what's the problem.

first pic is before the update, second is after. I noticed there was a problem when the system button is disabled but it'll be updated in the next version.

thank you, I lvoe this skin and it became my default one.
it's identical to the original, extept the playlist background, that is dark here and clear on songbird, but maybe I'm missing something

Indeed there are a few things that are different from the original such as the system button, the behavior of the scroll bars (I prefer mine lol)

I didn't care for the lighter playlist background of the original. I think the skin looks better with a dark background everywhere, but that'd be easy to change if you really want it.

As for the rating stars, they also are different (I think) just because the skinning engine does not let you change them in the main window. So creating identical design in the player and main window makes more sense to me.

Then you probably want a small player version in addition to this one, rather than just making the existing one smaller.

You could say that, make everything more dense.

Maybe combine the picture to the right player space.
and and vertical the volume control and get rid of that space, and the empty space between the play and track title.
Y&et leaving all the features (maybe get rid of the buttons at the bottom of the player.)
It could be nice to make volume a part of the play circle.

I, for one would love that!
I only use small players and I really like the look of songbird. Would be great if I could use it.

As it seems to be Monkey Rok skin today, I updated the songbird version of it for your viewing pleasure. You can download it on the first page of the thread.

Here are the details for the changes : fixed rating stars look, scrollbars look, added mmip install package.

What about this for a mini player design? Is it ok to use the float player's buttons or do you want the main player's???
You should imagine a volume bar and some other playback controls on it... somewhere.

Looks good to me.
I would think that the float player buttons would work the best. Seems like cramming round buttons in there would end up being less appealing.
