Artist-Node (show artist not "just another" album cover)

Post by Stoefi65 »

I do have a large library with tons of additional information stored and I also use the "Interpreten" (Artist) node on the desktopversion. I there store a special artist picture (not an Album Cover) with additional information.
I store the pictures in the tag AND the folder and it is visible in: \AppData\Roaming\MediaMonkey5\ArtistImages\
All fine on the desktop.

When I synchronize this with my Mediamonkey Android I only get Album Covers under the Artist view.

Any chance to change this resp. get the Artists view workin' the same way as on the desktop?

MMA shows 1 Artwork for all files from the Album taken from 1 of the tracks on the Album. So Artist picture would need to be the first Artwork on all files to be shown.

In MediaMonkey for Desktop, I’m able to add artist images without affecting the album artwork. This way, I get distinct visuals when browsing by artist versus album.
However, if I set the artist image first, it overrides all my album covers, which I don’t want.
Is there a way to achieve the same behavior in the Android version of MediaMonkey?

MMA only supports Album Art (ie. one Artwork per Album), Artist images and others are not supported.

okay - thanks! Would add really value - especially for people using it really as an archive with some additional information ;-)

...that's what I do on my desktopversion...
