I want to use folders that I will have organized with songs which all belong to a single genre(these are all songs which I want to be contained in a single playlist in MM.)
How do I import each of these playlist folders into MM? I have 12 playlist folders so I want to create 12 playlists in MM. I know how to "add/rescan tracks to library" but not how to make a playlist with them.
After goofing with this for over an hour I give up...I'm too stupid to figure this out I guess...so please give step-by-step instructions if you're able/willing to help me.
TIA
import question(trying to make playlists)

You can do it manually by navigating to each of the 12 folders in the Location node and select all songs and add them to a manual playlist.
You can also create 12 AutoPlaylists with the folder name in the criteria. The benefit of this is that the when you add songs to the folders they get automatically added to the playlists.
The question is why do you need to create these playlists if you can just navigate the Genre node to access songs by genre?

Thanks Lowlander, I'll try your directions soon.
I don't like using the self assigned genre listings. I like to make my own categories such as "female vocal favorites". I find there to be too many sub-genres(jazz as an example). I split jazz up into 3 playlists...
edit: I just tried your first method and that does exactly what I need. Thanks.

You can create any text you want for genre, just type it into the genre field of a track and it will even show up on the genre node where you can drag and drop multiple tracks to them.
