Script Needed - Find Linked Album Art

Post by curtish »

Hello,

Does anyone have a script or code snippet which would find all tracks that have LINKED album art vs. album art stored in the tag? I have a mix, and want to locate all tracks with linked art and remove/replace all linked art with tagged art. I know this community has a lot of talented scripters and I wanted to see if anyone has done this or come close with code that I could possibly finish.

It may have both in the track or one or the other, but I want to locate and eventually remove all album art files that are outside of the actual files.

Hope this makes sense. Thanks.

You can isolate them with a Magic Node:

Cover types\<cover storage>\<album artist>\<album>

Also, you can use trixmoto's "Calculate Cover Size" script to get each track's count, so you can find tracks that may have cover art linked and in the tag. trix's "Album Art Tagger" script will also come in handy for embedding the artwork you want.

Bex's 'tagging inconsistencies' script also will show which has linked or embedded art among many other things.

Teknojnky - Bex's script is pretty great...all i need from an ID standpoint.

Now, is there a way to automate this process...finding all albums with linked AND tagged art and removing all linked art, keeping only the tagged art?

Thanks!

Not all in one, just use bex's script to identify the files, then use trixmoto's album art script to add/remove/whatever you prefer.
