iPhone Not Working With MM3 "alpha"

iPhone Not Working With MM3 "alpha"
iPhone does not appear in MM3 alpha.
A "Portable Audio Player" dialog opens and Windows asks if I want to sync device with MM and I select yes. A second "Apple iPhone" dialog window opens and Windows informs that "camera is connected" and gives selection choices of programs to launch Word or Microsoft camera Wizard; I select cancel.
iPod nano and iPod video pop up in MM3 alpha fine.
Any help apprecuated, thanks.

I keep a watch on services/processes. My base is like 20 services.
I was able to get MM3 alpha to recognize the iPhone by enabling the "Apple Mobile Device" service. My iPod's and Nano's do not require this sevice to be running to operate with MM3.
So it looks like you would need a full iTunes at least "initially" installed to implement and enable the necessary Apple services.
No more time to test further today...fingers crossed.

Complete Unistalled itunes, and Apple Mobile Device.
Clean re-install MM 1137 debug.
MM3 now reads and plays m4a's normally.
MM3 1137 DOES NOT recognize iPhone when connected.
***Is there any info on requirements for iPhone capabilit in MM3?
Does iTunes need to be installed on machine? etc....
I have several machine and iTunes is(was) installed only on one machine and the iPhone was registered there. All other machines running MM3 could read all nano's and iPods.

peter the itunesmobiledevice.dll is currently on the system in:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\bin
iTunes is installed as noted in previous post...working correctly.
I do not want to uninstall iTunes on this main computer because it is necessary for iphone registration, updates, etc.
If this is a way to have MM work with iPhione without itunes loaded on other computers...that is great, and I will do that....BUT right now i can't get MM1137 to work for me at all.
I've done complete uninstalls and clean installs of both itunes and MM 1137 debug twice now...
Here is debug log from 1137 startup:
http://home.pacbell.net/cmx/1137_debub_log.LOG
...MM1137 just locks up...CPU maxed...I have to kill with taskmanager.
iTunes and mm1134 work fine.

Hi peter...I have started MM 1137 and connected iphone. Several times I have made connection with iphone...after m4a playback errors it becomes erratic. I am going to try to process again and note it here.
1) MM 1134 plays and responds normally. I am able to connect and work with iPods and Nano's. (iTunes installed)
2) Uninstall MM. Completely. Delete folder. Retain only DB.
3) Test iTunes. It connects and plays normally. iPhone connects and operates correctly with iTunes.
4) Download new MM 1137 debug and install.
5) Start debugview.
6)Launch media monkey from setup wizard.
7)MM 1137 plays normally...plays m4a files fine.
8)Connected iphone...MM 1137 recognizes and displays iPhone in nav window. I am able to browse iPhone music files normally.
9) MM 1137 plays back mp3 tracks from iPhone...*** m4a tracks will NOT play back.
10) If I NOW try to play any m4a from my library it "greys out" and will NOT play back.
here is debug file:
http://home.pacbell.net/cmx/21008_debug_file.LOG
11)... in past iterations of these identical steps MM1137 now begins to function erratically, eventually requiring Taskmanger shutdown.
(I have not tried an actual sync or transferring files yet)
12)...yes it is now indeed the case that MM1137 locked up...I tried to close MM and it is now locked pulling 95% of CPU resources. Taskmanager shutdown required. I have now done this process four times...same result.
Is there anything else I could try or supply you with?
Here is a debug log file of restarting MM1137 and the subsequent "lockup" when trying to play an m4a file, ultimately requiring taskmanager shutdown...

iphone plays back only some songs
I'm having the same problem. The sync goes fine and all songs show up on my iphone, but about half of them don't playback. I can't see any logic to which ones do or don't playback. They are all in mp3 format.
