Setting MP3 VBR as incompatible format

Post by Agouti »

Hi,
My car CD player doesn't like VBR MP3's, and I'm trying to get MM to autoconvert them - I can get around the problem by setting it to convert *every* file, but I'd rather avoid this. Is there any way to get MM to differentiate between CBR and VBR tracks?

I've also tried making an auto playlist to differentiate the VBR tracks from CBR, but I can't see a way to filter by VBR yes/no (and not sure it would help if I could).

I suspect this belongs in Feature Requests, but hey

Unfortunately, no, it can't differentiate between them with any search criteria.
