This thread is for posting information about devices that have been tested with MM 2.5 and work correctly. Please add comments for whatever other devices have been tested and work correctly.
Devices that have been tested and work well thus far are:
iPods
-iPod
-iPod Mini
-iPod Photo (some Album Art bugs remain)
-iPod Shuffle
-iPod Nano (Album Art doesn't work yet)
MTP / 'Plays for Sure' Devices
Note: theoretically, and MTP device should work with MM's new WMDM driver, however, we've only tested a couple of iRiver devices thus far.
-iRiver iFP-8xx
-iRiver PMC-120
-Zen Micro (2.20.05 firmware)
-Zen Sleek
USB Mass Storage Devices
note: all USB Mass Storage Devices should work with MM
-iRiver N-xx
-iRiver PMP-1xx
-Audiovox SMP3-xxx
-iRiver H10 (European firmware)
-Finis SwiMP3
-Zen Nano
Others
-iRiver H120/H320/H340

Is there a way to disable that? Right now I'm still using iTunes to sync and seeing it accessible like that in MM scares me a bit.
Zen Touch

In the beta v2.5, my Creative Zen Touch is listed in the explorer tree and properly displays all of my Zen Touch contents but that's about it. No file transfer, no sync. no tag editing. I have not upgraded to gold yet so I dont know if some of the features are missing due to that. I will not upgrade to gold till I see full support for the Zen Touch.
Also, when I download protected wma files MM still doesnt play them (they gray out) any plans to address this?

bon,
as stated in other threads there seems to be some kind of problem with syncing right now. the devs know that and will fix it (hopefully soon).
mm doesn't support DRM WMA files as of this version, but the dev plan to implement it in one of the next 2.5 alphas.

Whats interesting is that b0n8897 states that it can read his Zen Touch fine and thats about it. But as far as I know the Zen Touch doesn't support the MTP/PlaysForSure firmware, you need the Creative driver installed for it to recognize. So if MM can read the Zen Touch, then shouldn't it be able to read lots more players as well which operate on drivers?

I have a Zen Micro, with the latest Play For Sure firmware (released today, Sept. 26th) and I'm seeing the same behaviour.
I created a playlist called 'Zen' and set that as the only thing to synch with MM. When I plug in, the Zen recognizes it's 'Docked'. It also appears in the MM tree of devices and becomes available under the external players icon.
Upon synching, it correctly builds a list, but does not transfer anything to the Zen micro. Strangely enough, when I use MM to browse the contents of the player, only the <Artist> - <Album> names appear in the tree and they are the ones from the synch list, not the ones that are actually on the player.

Well, after messing around some more, I found out a few things.
When browsing the device from MM in the tree on the left, the Zen:\\Music\<artist> - <album> paths appear correctly. However, _nothing_ is transferred to the device itself.
When I click 'synch', the status bar correctly shows a message 'Copying 'xxx.mp3' to Creative Zen Micro'. I tried a list of appox. 150 mp3. I see the names appearing correctly in this progress bar, but the transfer is too fast (takes about 5 seconds). It turns out that nothing is actually being transferred to the device.
If I browse the device after removing the USB cable, no files are found.
Zen Micro does not synch

Same here. Zen Micro with MTP / Play for Sure Firmware 2.20.05. Mediamonkey at the start of the synch successfully deleted all "old content" from the device but can't copy new tracks. While it says "Copying X", it runs through 500 files in ~ 20 seconds and none are actually copied over.

Yes, it works! Absolutely wonderful! It was worth the wait for the library of my choice to support the Zen Micro. Can't wait for the next stable release. Thanks!
My adventures with my Dell DJ20 gen 2

Today I installed alpha 2
I have a Dell DJ 20 gen 2 firmware 2.10.03 (not rhe most recent, the second most recent it is playsforsure.
MM recoginized the player upon connection
You could see all the tracks on player but you could not play them(this is not unusual only one program I know of can:Deubox and that program was made from the ground up for the dj)
I formated my player and decided to sync from scratch
I selected the albums I wanted and proceded to sync them. It worked perfectly.
I noticed that a playlist was made for every album.(I don't want them but it works)
You can delete tracks without a problem.
I will update after I try more things, but if any of the developers have any questions or want me to try any thing reply here, or just pm me or email.
