[BUG] Audiobooks Albums not showing Tracks [#11032]

When I wirelessly sync audiobooks to to MMA they appear in the Audiobook tab of MMA with the correct number of tracks listed, but when I open the album there are often missing tracks. In fact there are often no tracks at all.

I'm not able to replicate, all Audio books I have synchronized shows in all views.

I'm getting the same behavior in the current Android beta (1.0.4.0145). I changed the genre of all of my audiobook tracks to "Audiobook, Horror" and everything uploaded to the Audiobooks view in the app. I can see the title, author, cover, and correct # of tracks from the Audiobooks view, but when I click on any individual audiobook, it shows "empty, 0 min 0 s".

My files are formatted as .mp3s. Do audiobooks *need* to be formatted as M4B to show up properly?

I forgot to mention -- This only seems to happen when I do a wifi sync. Doing a normal USB sync gives me no trouble at all.

I am having this problem with MMA 145 as well on WiFi Sync. I don't use USB sync so I can't speak to that issue. I'm in the process of upgrading to 146 now.

Just synced an audiobook track over WiFi to MMA 146. It's in my audiobook folder but MMA says that it's of type "Music" and it's not showing up in my audiobooks node at all. Using MMW 1644.

I think I have figured out the problem. I have many tracks whose "Type" I have changed to "Audiobook" however most of them didn't have "Audiobook" or "Audio Book" in their "Genre" tags. I added "Audio Book" to the genre tag in MMW and synced to MMA. Voila, the files now appear in MMA's Audiobook node. However, MMA still says their type is music. Personally, I think this is a bug. MMA should respect the type setting regardless of what the genre tags say.

Drat! I just tried playing an audiobook file which resulted in most of the audiobook tracks disappearing from their albums in the audiobook node. I'll have to try syncing again.

Further Data: It appears the problem occurs if "Audio Book" or "Audiobook" is not the *only* tag in the Genre tag.

If an audiobook file has more than one genre tag, for instance "Audio Book; Fiction" the second tag does not appear in the Genre Node.

In the Device Profile you can set to sync only first Genre, that may be enabled.

I have the same problem. all my Audiobooks in MMW have type=Audiobook, and no mention anything about it in genre tag. When I syncing to WWA through Wi-Fi sync (It appears only on Wi-fi sync) I have audiobook album in Audiobook section on MMA, but no tracks in there. All audiobook files listed under Music (Tracks) and their type changed to "Music"
