iphone 5 not detected after ios update to 8.1.3 [#12545]

All of a sudden, MM doesnt detect the iPhone 5 anymore. I synced it yesterday, but today it won't work.
iTunes and Windows do see my iphone.
What can I do?

Is it still enabled under Tools > Options > Portable Device Sync?

Yes it is. And I can change the configuration. But is is not visible, so I cannot sync

I have installed a new release of iTunes today (12.1.0.71).
Sorry I should have mentioned it but I didn't realize.
Syncing my iphone with MM did work fine until yesterday, with iTunes 12.

It would seem the new iTunes broke things, if you haven't yet I would hold of updating iTunes for now.

I have uninstalled iTunes but this doesn't solve the problem. Any ideas?

I believe it's not iTunes, but ios. I take it you also upgraded to 8.1.3 on your phone? I have same issue (5s), ifunbox no longer works either. I may rollback to previous version just for fun but will probably wait to see if they update the software here first.

Yes, I have 8.1.3 too. Thanks for the hint, I'll stop trying until there's a new MM release.
Do you know if we should mention this somehow to the developers?

They've been informed, however if others can confirm it would still be helpful. If you're planning to update I'd hold off on both the iOS and iTunes update for now, till there is a solution.

not saying iTunes wouldn't also break something, however I have another laptop that where iTunes was not updated and my phone wasn't seen by either MM or ifunbox.

I've got the same problem with a 5s and an iPad Air, both on 8.1.3 with iTunes 12.1.0.71 installed on Win7.

MM 4.1.5.1719 is not seeing either device although both iTunes and Windows are.

The crashing happens every time. Both phones are on ios 8.1.3

Also, if I load mediamonkey. first, and then plug in an Iphone or two, no crash, but neither shows up in Mediamonkey. Not detected by MM.
Itunes finds them right away and no trouble with it.
This renders mediamonkey nearly useless for me.

I'm having the same problem. Since upgrading my Iphone 6 to 8.1.3 I have not been able to see the Iphone in MM.
