send to

Post by simonastro »

hello all

I've just installed mediamonkey today
and I must admit I am completely blown away
by its excellent features and capabilities

it has made my jamie aebersold practice collection
completely searchable and made burning/ripping a joy!
love the task bar new track feature
and cannot believe this is a "free" program!

one wish would be to have "send to" include my email client
is there any way of incorporating this?

cheers

Well this depends on your email client. Generally speaking, no. You cannot include an attachment in a mailto: link which would be the easiest way to invoke an email from a script.

However, if you have outlook installed then in your Send To list (something like C:\Documents and Settings\Username\Send To) there will be a shortcut call "Mail Recipient". If you call this from a script with your track as the only argument then this will invoke an email with the attachment already there.
Download my scripts at my own MediaMonkey fansite.
All the code for my website and scripts is safely backed up immediately and for free using Dropbox.
