Cannot synch to m\y Android phone

I have a huge problem synching from my laptop to my phone. My phone struggles to find the laptop, then when it does, after a minute or so the laptop screen goes blank and the phone tells me the synch has been incomplete - then it all hangs. What can I do?

On my laptop it is MM5 - on my phone it is Version 1.4.3.0950. Is that what you mean?

Yes, and which build of MM5? Make sure you're on build 2420 which fixes such an issue in MM5:
