Introduction

MediaMonkey can connect with several Cloud Service providers:

  • Dropbox/Dropbox (app folder), whereas Dropbox gives access to all of your Dropbox, Dropbox (app folder) limits the access to to /Apps/MediaMonkey app/.
  • Google Drive
  • OneDrive

Under Devices & Services in the Media Tree use the + next to Storage and Services to add a Cloud Service connection to MediaMonkey. Using this will take you to the Cloud Service providers website where you need to log in to your account and set the permissions for MediaMonkey to access your cloud account.


Playback from a Cloud Service

MediaMonkey can play files from Cloud Services. Select any file through the Remote Content tab of the Service Profile under Devices & Services node in the Media Tree to play the file.


Sync from Cloud Service to MediaMonkey

There are 5 settings controlling how MediaMonkey syncs from a Cloud Service to MediaMonkey on the Remote Content tab of the Service Profile:

  • Scan cloud service content to the local database will add files stored on the Cloud Service to the MediaMonkey Library.
  • Only include content that matches files already in the database will limit this to files from Spotify to files matched with files on your PC in the MediaMonkey Library.
  • Download cloud service content that is not accessible locally will download any files on the Cloud Service that aren't in the MediaMonkey Library the local device.
  • Sync 'cloud service' metadata to Library
  • Sync schedule allows you to set when MediaMonkey will automatically Sync between the Cloud Service and MediaMonkey.


Sync from MediaMonkey to Cloud Service

On the Library content tab of the Service Profile you can select what content from your MediaMonkey Library should be synced to the Cloud Service. The settings are the same as for Syncing to Devices as discussed here: Sync List (Library --> Device).
