sony cdrom? or maybe some other company with their own player on the cdrom. the file might be on the cdrom it sounds like an advertisment dll.

break out the other encoder you have like maybe cdex and see if that will convert them to mp3's

if not you got once choice i know of.

start up the winamp go to its prefence's and make sure you have a plugin for out to mp3. there are some free ones on winamp's plug in site.

but pick that output plugin. then set the plugin's options up.
tell it where to save the mp3 file.

then start playing the song in winamp.
you more then likely won't hear it but the song is being converted and put in that folder so watch the seek bar or time counter to stop when the song is done.

then go to that song file and see if it sounds like you wanted it.

that is two ways to get it working. hope one of them works for you.

Error Message When Converting from WAV to MP3

by ASE-73 » Wed Sep 26, 2007 10:31 pm

I just downloaded MM Gold. I successfully ripped a CD to WAV format. I then attempted to convet these files to MP3 (256) and got the following error message:

"This application has failed to start because ad2mpegin.dll was not found"

I reinstalled MM Gold per recommendation, but this problem continues. I am running a clean install of Windows-XP SP-2 that is current with all Microsoft updates.

Please advise :-?
