So if with my old 2.5.5 my music dB was under the root of my music in my user folder, is v3 going to default there as well? And the purpose of backing up the dB is just in case something goes corrupt?

One other thing, is there some kind of neat list of the features bestowed up this release and how to access and use them so when I am poking around, I might actually know a little bit of what I am doing other than working off of my evil ways in MM 2.5.5? If not, has anyone considered such an endevour?

Thanks much.

Different, I have Program Files\MediaaMonkey and Program Files\MediaaMonkey3 folders. Same with Start Menu.

Do you mean that you install 2.5 and 3 in different directories or in the same directory?

Well, scripts that use mm2 sql obviously won't work, I doubt they will break anything, just throw up sql errors.

Other scripts _should_ work, but well the only way to find out for sure (unless its already posted in that scripts thread) is to try it (and post whether it worked or not!).

With RC 1 being out, the are in bug fix mode so it is probably safe to say that it is in feature lockdown (meaning doubtful any major changes happen). So what we need to do is make sure that the features that are in, are bug free, work as indicated etc.

Anyone?

So can I port my scripts over from 2.5 as well or is it best to just reload them? I know some may not work in 3 and some may not be needed either with the new functionality in 3.

Still any word on when we may see it come about as a real product in all of it's glory with all of the bells and whistles? ;)

Yeah, you are right and as the both use its own settings there will be no conflict.

You actually can run both 2.5 & 3 at the same time. You just need to have "Allow just one instance of MediaMonkey" unchecked.

Seems so many or using MM 3 or 4 beta's. With that said, does it mean that all is pretty much good to go in them? I mean, can I realistically use them without fear of corruption and whatnot as long as I have good backups? Is it suggested to use it conjunction with the last stable MM like 2.5.5? Any other options and input? Thanks much.
