Yes, you are right, but what I mean was, that I wouldn't probably do it myself (because I consider it as quite special function and there are other things to do), but it will be possible for users to make such features themselves. It will be fairly simple for even unexperienced programmers to do it.

ad 1) It will be possible in one of the future versions, not the next one (1.2), but hopefully soon.
ad 2) Interesting idea, as I already replied for several similar wishes, it will be possible to solve such things by custom scripts (the first version of script support will be in 1.2, but not so powerful for doing this).
