Thanks for the log, it definitely helps to localize the problem. It looks like there isn't anything wrong in MediaMonkey, but that there is a problem in loading some of the plug-ins. It can be easily tested by renaming the 'Plugins' folder to another name (e.g. 'Plugins.off') and starting MediaMonkey. It certainly won't be able to play anything, but it should start up then. Subsequently you can try to disable individual plug-ins (using the similar renaming trick) to see which one causes the problem.

I have a 2.4 GHz Celeron Compaq running XP. The closest I can get to running MM is the splash screen as the application attempts to load. The splash stays for about 20 seconds and then disappears, and then ..... nothing, not even an error message. Does anyone have any ideas?
