With v1-8 the volume is hard coded.
This request: PopUp Cortina info.: on / off (default) - you want to set that in the options panel? That shouldn't be too difficult.
Regarding scripting, I hadn't programmed in VBscript until just last year. I started by taking someone's very simple script and worked through it almost line by line trying to understand what it did and then modified it. The only book I got was O'Reilly's VBScript in a NutShell. I also read through the API (Wiki) to try to understand as much as I can about the different functions available. I've created many small scripts to test individual functions to see how they work. Eventually I was able to conceptualize how many of the pieces fit together. I did have some programming experience, albeit about 20 years old, which does help. I (and many others in this forum) are happy to help. Just ask questions, though I feel it would be beneficial to demonstrate that you've attempted it first!
I live in Connecticut - Thanks for your offer, I just may take you up on that if I'm in the area!
