Although I am not sure if this can be done, i think it is possible by queries inside Access.
If you want, you can send me you mediamonkey.mdb (zipped) at IoannisKirmitzoglou<replacethiswith@>gmail.com and i will give it a try

First answer: yes, all the info is available when bringing up OGG files from the current MM library.

Second answer: I am willing to go through all the work of re-copying, mostly to improve the sound quality (Have set MP3 to ~160 High +, would have preferref FLAC, but that doesn't seam to want to work.), and at the same time, also try to clean up that horrible mess in the library, that was caused during copying to OGG using MM's original (non-classical, as shipped, intended for hip music) settings and by the inconsistand and willy-nilly naming conventions of the classical-CD publishing industry.

Wouldn't there be a way to maybe drag and drop or copy and paste that info? (Preferably all tracks in each column at onces :) )

Yes I know, but if he can't locate the custom fields on the CDAs and they exist on OGGs, then i think is the only way

If yes why don't you just convert the ogg files to mp3? This way ALL the properties will be written to the MP3 as well.
But converting from OGG to MP3 will incur some lose of quality (depending on the setting for each format). As to the original question, I'm not sure...

Recover custom fields info?

I am trying to find a way to recover information I have previously entered into the three custom fields when I had recorded all my CDs to OGG. I now like to re-record them all in MP3 (in a new folder on the HDD), but MM refuses to come up with any of the custom field info when I insert the CD in the drive. All other info comes up, only the custom fields info is missing. I have tried different settings in the Options - Library - Infer Track Properties settings, but nothing seams to work. Do I have to re-type all that info again?
