Thank you for the clarification.

I'd still appreciate recommendations for accomplishing the batch update of time-stamped (LRC) lyrics that are stored in tags.

Best,
Mike

Re: Minilyrics - not when MM exits but when MM stops playing the track (or you skip to the next, etc.)

For context menu just right click in the Minilyrics window.

Lyrics: Batch + Time-stamped + Stored in Tags ?

Hi –
I’ve been using MediaMonkey for a few weeks and couldn’t be happier. But I could use some help with lyrics.

Is there a recommended approach to achieving the following?
  • storage of lyrics in tags
  • timestamped lyrics
  • found and updated in bulk
I’ve found tools that do some of the above, but no tool (or combination of tools) that accomplish all three. As best I can tell:
  • Lyricator does a great job with batch find and storage in tags, but doesn’t download time-stamped (LRC) lyrics.
  • LyricsPlugin finds lyrics one at a time and doesn’t find time-stamped (LRC) lyrics.
  • EvilLyrics doesn’t appear to find time-stamped lyrics. (EvilTagger can be used to lyrics to tags.)
  • MiniLyrics – not sure I have this right, but will apparently update embedded tags when MediaMonkey exits, though this doesn’t seem reliable. (I cannot find the “context menu” referred to on the MiniLyrics site - http://www.crintsoft.com/mlgetstart.htm.)
Please correct me if I have any of this wrong, and please advise if there are tools, or ways to use these tools, to accomplish Batch + Time-stamped + Stored in Tags.

Thanks,
Mike
