Hmmm. I'm having trouble accomplishing a full sync at all, even if I delete all the files an re-load.

It is indeed the 160.
I have to go into the ipod in file manager and delete all the files, then synchronise, which is not a synchronise, it's a re-upload.
I can live with it, but as it takes several hours to copy, I'd prefer if there was a fix.

Is it, by chance, an ipod classic 160? It seems like there are problems with MM and ipod classic 160GB. I just bought one and am scouring the forums for a solution. No joy so far..

I'm also having the problem you describe: I try to sync, encounter an error, re-sync, and each time I get an additional version of individual songs on my ipod.

The issue has changed.
When I try to sync my ipod classic, MediaMonkey simply tries to add all the files again, rather than assess what's there and what's not and upload the new files.
Can anyone suggest where I'm going wrong?
