:D I did name it wrong on my site, didn't I... sorry about that :D

I'll try your suggestion and see how it does... I found another piece of software that exported to an Excel format, but I really like the functionality of Songs-DB. Hopefully, the updated id3lib will work.

Thanks again - great work on this app!

From your description it looks like there was a problem in ID3 tags reading. The reason can be in quite old ID3lib.dll, which is distributed with Songs-DB 1.2. I plan to distribute much newer ID3lib with the next Songs-DB release, until then you can download a newer version from here. I think it can help.

P.S.: BTW, you renamed Songs-DB to Music-DB on your site :-)

Additional characters in song and artist columns

When I do an import, it seems to go just fine - but when I look closeley at the artist and song names, some of them end up having extra characters... for some reason, parts of the word 'Frequency' are most *frequent* :D Maybe I'm trying to scan too many files at once?

All my MP3's are in one directory - not seperated into folders. I'm running XP Home on an AMD Athlon 1900+ with 512MB RAM.

There are really no errors, so I'm not sure what the actual issue is. Any suggestions?

This is a great program - the export to Excel is what I need it for - it exports just fine - except for those funky song titles and artist names.

(If that didn't come through, the address is http://pdxsurreal.com/temp/songs_db_errors.gif

Also on that site is the actual MSSQL output of the data in my Songs-DB database (imported into MSSQL from Songs-DB Export)... you can see the weird characters there.

Anyway - again, great work on this program!!

Thanks,
