It doesn't matter which command you use, both have the same functionality. Scan path is intended to scan the currently selected path only, whily scan media can scan anything you like (only one CD, all drives, ...).

Should I use the scan media command or scan path?
If I use scan media, can I just scan the new CD drive I add or do I have to scan all drives?
