@ MnInShdw

I know this is a very old discussion here but I really hope that you still are able to read this post.
I am desperately searching for those 5 songs that you've mentioned which are preinstalled on that walkman..
I myself had one years ago and only can remember the melodie of one of them which was my favorite.
So if you could tell me the names of those songs I would be so thankfull

thanks for the quick reply.
I've already seen that post. but it wasn't what I'm looking for.

As I explained above, I'm looking for a way to show the lyrics from the synchronize-lyrics tag or any other way that doesn't need an external .lrc file (if possible).

the pre-installed songs has no lrc file, but still walkman shows the lyrics. So I assume the lyrics must be saved in the synchronized-tag of the song.

Million thanks for any advice
The player probably will not read lyrics from the tag. I have only ever seen players that will use an external lyrics file (named the same as the media file).

There was once a Rockbox plugin to show embedded sync lyrics, but Rockbox isn't compatible with any Sony device, and the plugin probably doesn't exist anymore.

sony walkman and lyrics [#16494]

by MnInShdw » Sat Jan 12, 2013 9:22 pm

I've been searching this forum for the past three days to be able to use MediaMonkey as my main Music manager.

So far I've found how to tag my songs, how to change the album art and how to sync my Sony Walkman S series with my library.

The only problem left is that Sony Walkman doesn't show the lyrics.
I've used MiniLyrics to save the lyrics in the song file.

How can I make Walkman(S series) show the lyrics? Am I missing any steps?

the player has 5 pre-installed songs all with synchronized lyrics.
So I assume it's not a player-side problem.

If I add a mp3-filename.lrc in the same folder, walkman shows the lyrics.
But I prefer to use the saved lyrics in the song (if possible).
Any kind of advice is much appreciated.
