Is it perhaps possible to store the database on skydrive and retreive it from both desktop and metro versions that way. I understand that it may require a longer startup time while the db is downloaded but it would be good to have that option.

i think it might be possible if say you installed it in portable mode, and in a folder like C:\MediaMonkey\ . I think it would work this way, but then all the music would have to be in a drive/folder that is also able to be available for both or all users.

it might not work, but that is how i would attempt it.

It's not possible (because of security policy of Windows 8).

Multi-User Libraries?

I'm both a desktop MediaMonkey user and a Windows 8 style user. Our household is setup with a main media PC and each member of the house has their own Windows 8 login. I'm wondering if its possible to setup MediaMonkey to share the database and playlists across multiple users on the same computer?

The Windows 8 app is looking good so far - keep it going!

Cheers,

Zac
