If you want to convert a DRM protected wma, then you can burn the wma to an audio cd in windows media player and then rip it with MM into the format of your choice. Thats hows I get by, although I try to avoid DRM protected files.

Another thread had a similar problem

If you have ZoneAlarm by any chance restricting your programs Trust Level will interfere with MM and cause the error to display a DRM problem

sounds like it is protected by digital rights management code

if you really want to do it and it is playing in winamp then you have an option go get a mp3 out or and wma out plugin for winamp.

get the output stacker plugin for winamp.

configure the output stacker plugin to use both the wav out dll and the out to wma/mp3 plug in you just got.

and chose that stacker plugin to use.

the reason for getting the stacker is that if you only get the wma/mp3 out put plugin when you use it you wont' hear the song.
but by configureing the stacker to use both those plugins you will get to hear the song and adjust the equlizer in winamp for the best sound of the song and the wma/mp3 out put will make the wma/mp3 file as you playit.
