You may want to check with the device manufacturer to see what it supports. When using DLNA it is up to the server to provide a Playlist per DLNA standard.

That looks good but I'm not sure it will help as I need to know what the amp is looking for in relation to finding the relevant files. On the NAS interface it shows the filepath of the stored files as per the second example above but the amp shows blank even though the song plays via DNLA. Has anyone been able to get a network device playing from a m3u playlist?

This part in particular isn't specifically a MM issue but as it creates the playlists perhaps there is an option I've missed. There certainly seems a lot of options on that screenshot but not necessarily any I recognise as solving the puzzle! Certainly if I can get the amp to recognise just one song in the playlist I will know it is correct then this add-on will come in very handy.

Playlists reference the files where they are and thus the PC references them to C. However the following Addon can change Paths on export or use relative Paths: http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewto ... d+playlist You may be able to configure it to create the correct Paths on export.

Correct filepaths for m3u playlists to play on Onkyo amp

Hi

I have my music stored in a library on my main PC where I mainly use MediaMonkey. The files are backed up in the same directories on my Dlink NAS which my Onky NR-414 amp can stream quite happily. I also have a laptop that has the same library (but sourced from the NAS) which allows us to use MediaMonkey in the garden.

All work fine but I had a go at exporting the playlists (never done it before) so that I can play certain playlists on the amp without having to switch either PC on. I sent them to the music directory where the files are stored and the amp saw them straight away but obviously couldn't play any because of the file paths. As they were sent from the PC they currently look something like these:

#EXTINF:229,Ellie Goulding - Anything Could Happen
C:\Documents and Settings\My Name\My Documents\My Music\Now, Vol. 83\Ellie Goulding - Anything Could Happen.mp3
#EXTINF:199,Robbie Williams - Candy
C:\Documents and Settings\Gary Wade\My Documents\My Music\Now, Vol. 83\Robbie Williams - Candy.mp3

If they are stored in a music folder in the root directory what should the path be? I access the library on the NAS by selecting "Music" and I tried:

#EXTINF:229,Ellie Goulding - Anything Could Happen
Volume_1\Music\Now, Vol. 83\Ellie Goulding - Anything Could Happen.mp3
As this is how the file path is shown on the NAS

The amp just says "No Item" so I am guessing this isn't correct. I have no idea what the EXTINF bit above it about. Does anyone know what is wrong. As the amp plays all files and sees all the playlists it must be something simple I have missed.
