After wandering through Android setttings, I realized I had the "Touch sound" settings ON. Setting this to OFF cured my problem. I was not aware of the existence of this setting. None of the music apps I used so far seem to pay attention to it and all behave as if it was set to OFF.

Does anybody see any advantage for the Touch sound settings to be on ? Given the poor results (judging from my experience), would it not be interesting for WMA to simply ignore it as most other music apps do ?

Bluetooth audio: noise when interacting with the UI [#11619]

MMA is a great piece of software. However, I experience the following problem with MMA version 1.0.4.0202 on my Nexus 7 tablet with KitKat v4.4.2 installed. If I select a track from a UPNP server (or my local Music directory, it makes no difference) and play it through Bluetooth to my amp equipped with a BT receiver, the track plays fine, except that a *very* noticeable 1-2 secs noise is heard whenever a track is playing and I activate another element of the UI (eg. going to the settings screen, going back to the Android home screen). Needless to say, this does not make a very enjoyable listening experience!

I have never experienced such a problem with the other music apps I tried on the same tablet with the same Android version to play music through BT, for ex. GooglePlay, BubbleUPnP, TuneinRadio, etc, so it seems my hardware or OS is not the culprit. It is as if MMA was grabbing the BT in a way that creates momentary incompatibilities with the rest of the Android envirironment. Unfortunately, I am new to MMA, so I cannot tell if this problem appeared with the latest release or has always been there.

Has anybody else experienced this ?

Thanks all.
